The match against Shiratorizawa became a turning point for him. As Ushijima prepared to spike the ball, Tsukishima's instincts kicked in. With an explosive jump, he leaped high into the air, his long limbs extending to block the spike with precision and power.

As Tsukishima blocks Ushijima's powerful spike, a surge of exhilaration coursed through his veins. The crowd erupted into cheers, teammates embracing him in celebration. But amidst the jubilant atmosphere, Tsukishima felt a sharp, searing pain shoot through his hand and radiate up his arm. The force of Ushijima's spike had taken a toll on his body. His face contorted in agony, Tsukishima gritted his teeth and tried to shake off the pain. However, it quickly became apparent that the injury was more severe than he initially thought. He felt his strength waver, his hand trembling uncontrollably. Realizing he couldn't continue playing, Tsukishima reluctantly signaled to the coach, requesting a substitution. His heart sank as he made his way to the sidelines, his mind clouded with frustration and disappointment. It was supposed to be a moment of triumph, but instead, it ended with him forced out of the game due to injury.

As Tsukishima reached the sidelines, clutching his injured hand, the team's couch hurriedly approached him, concerned for his well-being. Without a moment's hesitation, the coach reached out to examine his hand, gently squeezing it to assess the extent of the pain. But the pressure sent waves of agony through Tsukishima's body, causing him to let out an agonizing scream.

The piercing cry echoed throughout the gym, capturing the attention of everyone present. The sheer intensity of Tsukishima's pain seemed to reverberate through the air, affecting his teammates, the opposing team, and even the spectators. It was as if the collective anguish of that moment connected them all, if only for an instant.

Recognizing the severity of Tsukishima's injury, the coach quickly made the decision to send him for immediate medical help. With a heavy heart, Tsukishima was escorted off the court and guided towards the locker room. The disappointment of not being able to contribute fully to the match weighed heavily on his mind, overshadowing the momentary victory of blocking Ushijima's spike.
