Ch.24

Sami knew that he wanted to know what had happened to Lexie. He was worried that he was going to lose her. That she wouldn't survive. She was the love of his life. She had changed his life.

Sami couldn't help but think that this was down to Warren. That he was the reason. But he couldn't prove it. He knew Warren had his suspicions. But there was no proof.

Sami just knew he needed Lexie to wake up. To be his girl again.  He couldn't leave her bedside for fear she was going to lose him. Lexie had changed his life. She had made it possible for him to love again.

He knew how their relationship was always going to have problems. He just wanted her to wake up so he could make it work. To prove how much he loved her.

All he knew was that Lexie had changed his life. And he didn't want to lose her. He wanted to spend everyday showing her how much he loved her.

When he woke that morning, he saw Lexie's empty space next to him. He sighed. He saw a text from Lacey asking him to meet her.

He reluctantly climbed out of bed. He got dressed and sighed. He didn't know what Lacey wanted. But he knew it had something to do with Lexie. And what happened.

He left the flat and saw Lacey waiting for him. He looked to her. "What's this about?" He asked.

Lacey sighed. "I've found the CCTV. From the night Lexie was stabbed. I'm going to find out just who stabbed her. And then I'm going to make them pay," she told him.

Sami frowned as he looked to her. "Have you checked it ?" He asked as he pulled her to one side.

Lacey shook her head. "No. I haven't. I'm having to do this illegally. So it has to be when no one is around. As soon as I know something, I'll tell you."

"Thanks."

Sami arrived at the hospital. He saw Warren there. "Has there been any change?" He asked as he looked to him.

Warren shook his head. He sighed. "They're confident she's going to wake up. She will be okay. It's just a matter of when. They says there'll be no lasting damage," he told him.

Sami just nodded. He sat down and sighed. "Listen. You're her father. But if I think for one second that you are the reason she's lying here, I won't hesitate to lock you up," he said.

Warren frowned. "You threatening me? While my own daughter is lying there?" He asked.

"It's not a threat Warren. It's the truth. I will get you locked up. I will protect Lexie. I don't want her in the firing line of your stupidity," Sami told him.

He knew he was brave for going against Warren Fox. But he didn't want anything to happen to Lexie.

Warren was fuming as he walked through the village. He was angry that Sami had threatened him. Lexie was his little girl. He wouldn't hurt her.

Lacey walked over to her. She sighed. "I checked the CCTV. And I know who stabbed Lexie," she said.

Warren frowned. But was he ready to hear the answer?
