(Kaori's POV)
As soon as I felt the warm rays of sunlight hit my eyes, I threw the blanket off of me and jumped out of bed. Running to the door, I reached over and was about the swing the door open when I stopped, turned around, and made my way over to the bathroom.
And yes, my hospital room had a bathroom inside of it. Splashing water onto my face, I tried to make sure I looked presentable. After combing through my hair and brushing my teeth, I finally opened the door.
As the door swung open, a cheer erupted from the nurses and doctors who stood in the hallway, lining the walls. I felt my cheeks heat up with a slight blush. "This is very sweet, but I'm 19 years old in a 10-year-old's body." Still, I let a bright smile light my face. After giving several bows out of respect and a few fun high-fives, I spotted Aizawa standing at the end of the hallway.
Quickly, I run up to him. "Ready to finally leave this place?" He asks as I nod my head with vigor as I take his hand. Looking around, I take one last look of this place. While it had been my shelter for the past three weeks and the staff had been really nice, I really hope that this is the last I see of this place.
As we exit the building, I give one last wave before following Aizawa to his car. Opening the passenger seat, I sit down and buckle my seat belt. Aizawa sits down in the driver's seat next to me before staring.
"What do you think you are doing sitting there?" "Oh, crap..." After regaining my memories, I must have sat here by old habit. "Haha..." I try to brush it off with a laugh as I unbuckle and get out of the car. "God that's so embarrassing." Quickly, I sit down in the seat behind it.
The drive from the hospital to Aizawa's home took around an hour. I mean it was expected as he and my family lived in different cities. Once we pulled in front, I realized how small it was. I mean I knew Aizawa wasn't one for extravagance, but the house barely looked like it could hold two people. But I guess a privileged life in this world and in my past might have raised my expectations.
Stepping out of the car, I took notice of the small front lawn, comparing it to the house my parents had. I stared at the simple two-story building with much thought. And I guess Aizawa might have noticed as he commented, "I know this isn't the size you are used to, and I apologize for that, but I wasn't able to find a good enough house within three weeks with a decent budget."
"Heh!! This man was willing to buy a new house for me?!" I start shaking my head and waving my hands. "No, No Oji-san, this is fine." I stare at the house once more with a smile, determined to make it work. "Besides," I bring a hand to the back of my head. "I'm not really in a position to be complaining. I can only be grateful for what I can have."
Aizawa gave a soft pat on my head. "Come on, let's go inside." Walking behind him, I watched as he opened the door.
Once inside, I began taking a look around. Directly in front of the door was a staircase leading to the second floor. On the left side of the staircase was the dining area with a kitchen next to it. In front of the kitchen and dining area was the living room. Behind the dining area is a door is a room leading to a small room with doors to a guest bathroom and a laundry room. Underneath the staircase was a small pantry. "The harry potter vibes."
