Once upon a night at the king's castle there was a wonderful ball in which everyone was having fun and the festivities were in full swing.
The music and the dancing were wonderful as usual; the king always chooses the best musicians and partitions from his time and his kingdom.
He cherished his kingdom more than anything, more than his life. He had nothing else from his family that's why he was affectionate to his lands, he considered his subjects as his family.
Due to his young age and love for his people, his subjects were giving back to him the love he had for them because he tried his best to improve their lives.
A brand new and gorgeous lady arrived late to this ball and she caught the eyes of every guest, the Lords wanted her while the Ladies were jealous of her natural beauty. She was a sculpture of Michaelangelo with the grace of a swann.
This young lady was the daughter of the clockmaker that the king just hired. He gave the clockmaker and his family a place to live near the castle and invited them to this ball to get to know them as he usually did with all his new employees.
The king, who was still unmarried because he hadn't the intention to get a wife, directly came to her to ask her to dance with him. She accepted his request without knowing that she was about to dance with her king.
The couple was astonishing not only because the stranger was dancing with the king when she arrived but also because she caught his eye. He fell in love with her at first sight and became the most important thing in his life from this moment; but she fell deeper without the two of them speaking, they were just looking at each other in their eyes.
They danced all night long without saying a word. They were too stunned to say a word and were also too shy to start the conversation.
The king met her in the corridors of his castle while she was working as a maid with the other wives and daughters of his employees, they got to know each other and he absolutely wanted to marry her without hesitation.
He asked his hand to her father six months after their first dance and got married soon after.
The royal couple was loved by their subjects as much as they loved them.
They had three lovely children and a wonderful life together until the queen died from a long and terrible disease after years of marriage.
After this event the king fell into depression because he no longer had a reason to be happy without her. He left his kingdom in desolation and chaos until his death. His children tried their best to save their kingdom and make their father happy again after the passing of their mother, but in vain the future of the kingdom was already doomed to its loss.
