IV. Leon

Leon picked up a key and made way back to a door as he fit it inside and unlocked it. As he opened the door, he saw Jade with a disgusted expression. Or maybe it was horror-he wasn't sure. "You alright?" the blonde stood up. He was getting concerned since Jade hadn't moved or even blinked. She managed to nod slowly, though it seemed the agent was still baffled by the earlier sight. Leon sighed, putting a hand on her shoulder and drawing circles on it with his thumb.

"Elli- Jade. You're one of America's best, this is nothing yet. I could be wrong-I hope I am." He told her reassuringly, moving his hand to pat her in the back. "Come on, sport. Let's go." Jade nodded, the blond letting her take the lead for a change of course. As they explored the area a bit more, Leon heard Jade murmur something. "Come again?" he spoke. "I.. I'm not one of America's best because I fought off zombies or the undead like you. It's because I'm quick to gather information and quick to disappear without a trace after, so I've got no experience when it comes to hoards of.. those things." She reluctantly whispered. "International spy, then?"
"For the government."

Leon could see that. Jade had a good figure, which most likely worked in her favor to quickly slip in and out of tight spaces. "I do kill if I need to, or if it's an issued order. It's just, I don't stay too long to watch the body rot and.." the blond squeezed her shoulder as an act of comfort. "I'll take care of you, then."
"As hero of Raccoon City's zombie outbreak?"
"As Leon Kennedy, US Federal Agent."

Leon couldn't see the expression on Jade's face as she made way through what seemed like a tunnel. There was blood splattered on the walls and on the ground, some sort of animal corpses as well. The blond saw her shiver. Jade slid open some sort of cloth curtain, she had no problem at all thanks to the complimentary horror game flashlight Leon held. Jade suddenly jumped and backed away into Leon, who held her by the waist so they wouldn't fall, dropping his flashlight in the process.

"What is it?" he was about to pick up his flashlight until he saw where the light had shone-it was the police officer who had taken a dump-according to Jade-sprawled on the floor, seeming lifeless and covered in blood. Leon immediately went up and picked up the cop's radio. "I read you..! What's your situation!?" he yelled, however no one had answered, just small static. "The hell is going on?" He put it back down, his brows knitted together. "You think his final dump was good?" The girl suddenly remarked, though it didn't seem as sarcastic. Is this woman serious?

"I thought you were scared." He spoke and stood back up after getting his flashlight. "Just a little bothered. I've seen worse. Bless his soul though." Jade walked closer and shut his lifeless eyes gently with her two longest fingers, then wiping the blood on her pants. Leon smiled, for the shortest second then went back to his resting bitch face. "We should go." Jade nodded, following him out. As they went back, some sound of groans echoed through the rooms. "What the fuck was that?" Jade muttered, getting her handgun. Leon shrugged and continued on with caution. The old guy from earlier had been going down the stairs, it seemed like for all Leon had wished it wasn't.. he was right. Zombies, T-virus, maybe something more. Both Leon and Jade had shot their guns, taking a few bullets to finally get the thing to drop. Leon shivered, wondering if it was all going to happen again.

History repeats itself, He thought, feeling the bitter taste on his tongue.

As they snuck past another zombie, the agents ran up the stairs and past the corridor, opening one of the rooms. There were pictures and analysis' on the board and even more trinkets on the cabinets. Leon shut the door behind them as Jade went up to the board, the blond following shortly. "Roost, this is Condor One." he reported in his ear piece. "And Jade, just in case my partner forgot."
"Hunnigan here, what's your sitrep?"
"The president's daughter-Baby Eagle. It's likely she's in this village."
"Our intel was correct then, well done."
"And mummified old men are also after our arses." Jade added.

"Zombies?"
"We'll explain later. For now, we need a location on a nearby lake-she may have been taken there." the female cleared her throat.
"Copy that, I'll see what I can find."
"And hurry up, something's happened to the people here. Our escorts are-"

There was a sudden noise barging on the door, an axe splitting through the wood as three more zombies emerged. "Later, Roost. Seems like we've got guests." Jade let her fingers fall from her earpiece as she checked the bullets in the magazine. "I'll let myself out." Leon remarked before grabbing Jade's wrist and jumping out the window. He landed a safe landing, but that wasn't the case for the female. She had lain sprawled on the floor as she got up with a limp. "Could've told me before jumping out like that, I thought we were going to flash out guns blazing." She winced, her left leg limping. "What happened?"
"Sprained ankle, thanks."
"Need me to carry you?"
"No, I need you to move because these guys will be following us like little rabbits."
"Rabbits with rakes and chainsaws, I'd say."

Leon grabbed her wrist gently this time, slowing his running pace down so she could catch up. Even as she limped, she was still at a good pace. "Think you can keep that up? I'll take a look at it once we're clear."
"Baby Eagle is priority, move!"

Leon nodded, but noticed the zombies weren't in pursuit of them anymore. The hell? he shrugged. They ran, more like Leon struggling to keep pace with Jade's sort of brisk walk with the injured ankle. They reached the nearest village either way and damn was it flocked by even more zombies. Jade took a deep breath.
"Holy mother of burritos."
