A/N : Cara mia means my dear & Mia Amata means my love.

The cold air was harshly brushed against your face.  Something was pulling you away from him. His face was unrecognizable, seemingly covered by a thin veil but his grip was tight, he was afraid to let you go.

"I'll find you, cara mia!" his voice was wobbly. "Do not cry! I will find you!"

The tight grip that he held was severed, you'd been pulled away. The wooden doors had closed leaving him trapped in the room with whoever was in that room.

It was midnight. Your hands bunched up the blankets, one of the window doors had been left open. You decided to slip on your slippers, leaving the comfort and safety of your bed to close the window. The midnight sky was twinkling with stars in different phases of their life, lying on the daybed and not wanting to respond to any of the pinging notifications for the congratulations of your upcoming marriage. The pit in your stomach continued to grow with each step you took, unknowing what would happen if you decided to leave the safety of your room.

The maids carefully helped you get dressed, just the subtle things such as doing your hair or adding jewelry that complimented your emotions. Not baring to see your reflection in the vanity, your eyebrows furrowed with disappointment as you put on your engagement ring.

Forcefully, you'd been sent outside to shop for wedding dresses with family members of your choice. Stopping in your tracks but you needed to look behind you, turning around to see nobody, just the backs of passers-by who are relaxed or being crushed from their mundane lifestyle. The familiar feeling of the arms of your family pulling you back to reality and facing forward to fate that you never wanted. You were going to step into the entrance of a bridal boutique, it has the latest fashion of wedding dresses but heard a familiar voice. It couldn't be, you thought.

You turned your head to see a man holding flyers, his face had a smile plastered on, and managed to free yourself from the grasps of the family members to accept one of his flyers. A short chat but you figured his name was Terzo and in response you'd given your name.

The dressing room was humid, hot air stuck to your skin. Not being able to stare at yourself in the mirror, feeling like a child wearing their mother's gown for a tea party. White fabric from the dress began to tighten on your neck with each breath, you could hear the pestering voices from outside the dressing room. You couldn't feel the spark of connection to the dress, it didn't suit you. You didn't like it.

"I love it!" You lied through your teeth to let the wave of compliments flow throughout the room.

Back inside the humid, tight dressing room as the dressing room assistant peeled off the dress from your body. Carefully slipping on your own clothes, unfolding the flyer that Terzo handed you. The flyer was about a ritual, it sounded intriguing and it might be best to try something new before your nonexistent freedom gets torn from your flesh.

The car ride home was talkative about what color the bridesmaids' dresses be, what type of flowers for bouquet, and what type of decorations to match the theme for the wedding. The cool light of the interior lights turned on to show the car ride home was over, everyone ushered to leave the car but you remained not wanting to leave the car.

You looked at the flyer then to the cathedral, it was elegant and beautiful in its own way.  It wasn't something that you expected. The cathedral stood tall, it looked like it would reach the clouds and the pointed arches that greeted anyone who entered and left it. A woman stepped outside wearing traditional nun attire, she had a light smile plastered on her face.
