Four, The Lineup

Ellie walked the halls of the sanctuary making sure to keep notice if anybody spoke about Alexandria anymore.She overheard that Negan had planned to stalk and advance them further into there trap and take care of their business.Her heart thumped she felt horrible but knew she had to play her part as the right hand girl for Negan.

The night came quicker then Ellie could seem to imagine,it felt as if it had only been an hour but it head been many, as she checked the time with her watch she had found from before Negan had taken her in she realized that they would probably be leaving soon. She got ready putting on her dark blue henley and a pair of black jeans she had gotten as a handy-down from the wives of Negan. She threw on her black carhartt jacket since the nights were pretty cool compared to the morning and evenings.

As Negan spoke to the saviors Ellie stood by Negan, ever sense she had become his right hand girl she had always been right by his side.Many of the other saviors complained on how she was just a girl and wasn't tough enough to be his right hand girl, Ellie knew she wasn't as tough as this new world would need her to be but she tried her best to be brave.

They had set up a trap with many of their men and women surrounding the area with Negans trailer being in front of them. Ellie and Negan were inside the trailer talking about how they would take back what the Alexandrines took from them and more.Ellie didn't like the idea of scavenging off of others items especially another safe-zone she felt horrible the feeling of shame rose in her as she felt her family would look down on her for doing something as cruel as this.Snapping her out of her thoughts was loud whistling Negan turned on the brights of his trailer as Ellie looked out the small blood tinted window she seen multiple trucks and vans brights turned on it was blinding.She seen a group of people come in with a ill looking woman on a bed, they were all put to there knees by Simon, he spoke to them for a few minutes taking there guns and knifves eventually he spoke,"Let's meet the man.."Negan took the first step out of the trailer Ellie on his tail she had her gun in her thigh holster holding the grip of it just in case she looked around and walked into the crowd not wanting to be watched anymore.

Ellie stood among the crowd, feeling the weight of the Saviors' presence pressing down on her. Negan, stood at the front, his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of disobedience. Ellie struggled to keep her face expressionless, trying not to draw attention to herself.As she watched, her mind raced with questions. What was going to happen? Who would be singled out? She had heard rumors about Negan's "lineup," how he would select members of a community and bash they're brains in with "Lucille".It was a savage and terrifying punishment.

As Negan began to speak, Ellie's heart sunk. She could tell by his tone that he was in a particularly vicious mood that day. He started by listing the various ways that the Alexandria settlement had "wronged" him, and how they had to be punished, and Ellie felt sick to her stomach. She knew that there would be no mercy no matter how much they tried to appease him, Negan would never be satisfied.The tension in the air was palpable as Negan continued to speak, his words growing more and more brutal with each passing moment. Suddenly, he raised his bat pointed speaking, and Ellie's heart skipped a beat. She knew what was coming, the start of the punishment.

The next few minutes felt like an eternity as Negan struggled to pick one to kill first as they knelt there, their heads bowed, as he spoke, his voice growing louder and more vicious with each word. Ellie felt like she couldn't breathe, her eyes glued to the scene playing out before her, as she scanned the faces of the people on there knees she seen a boy, he seemed to be around her age he was very pretty in a way she couldn't stop staring he looked to have a brave exterior but she could tell he was still scared, in fact she seen him shake as Negan spoke.The boy had a hat on and a bandage over his right eye she wondered how he might've lost it but didn't get too deep into thought because of Negans loud laughing.He walked over to the boy in the sheriff hat and spoke,"This is your kid right?this is definitely your kid-" He was cut off by rick yelling for him to stop it, "don't make me kill the future serial killer,don't make it easy on me..Everybody's at the table waiting for me to order." After saying this he started whistling it was a way to assert there dominance and intimidate others.The crowd started to whistle loudly Ellie was too deep in thought to realize,she suddenly felt a harsh push by someone she realized what was going on she started lightly whistling.

Negan walked down the lineup still whistling looking at their faces."I simply cannot decide" He look to the crowd of people calling Ellie over to him, she felt eyes from everywhere she felt the boy in the sheriffs hat eyes burn into her soul, she was nervous. "Give me an idea, El" Ellie thought about ways she used to pick things, an idea popped up in her head it was childish but at the moment it was the only things she could think of,"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe?" She asked quietly, he nodded as he turned around walking back to the lineup."I got an idea,"

Negan had started mumbling the rhyme pointing his bat at each person while walking along them, he held a pause at "you are".Finally Negan had chosen he pointed his bat and a red headed man, "Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boys other eye out and feet it to his father and then we'll start." he paused "You can breathe, you can blink, you can cry hell your all gonna be doing that." Suddenly he brought his bat up and instantly brought it back down with a loud "thunk" the red headed man head instantly shot down "Look at that!Taking it like a champ." the red head looked at Negan "Suck..My.Nuts"
