Chapter 5

I stared at the clock watching as the second hand moved so slowly it looked as if it wasn’t moving at all. 5 minutes that’s all there is left, 5 more minutes until I can escape this hell whole. I had my full and undivided attention on the clock, that was until someone cleared there throat.

“Miss Luna, is there something that you find so interesting about the clock?” Mrs Green my science teacher asked glaring at me. Mrs Green was a middle aged woman that constantly had a scowl on her face. I think she has been teaching for way to long.

“Yeah, did you know the clock tells the time!” I asked sarcastically, faking astonishment. The class erupted in laughter causing her to glare at me.

All of a sudden the bell rang. I jumped out of my seat and ran out of the class room, not even noticing the figure in front of me until I crashed into him.

I looked up into the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen. They were light blue near the pupil and a darker shade on the outside. The rest of his face was just as beautiful, and on top of that he had blond hair that slightly swept to the side. He had broad shoulders and was tall. He had his hand outstretched to me.  I grabbed his hand and pulled myself up off the ground, quietly muttering my thanks.

“No problem” he said in a low, husky voice. I smiled and just walked away without a second glance. It took so much of my self-control to not just stand there and stare into his eyes. What’s happening to me? , I’m not supposed to feel this way. I’m Lucifers daughter and future queen of the underworld. I sighed and walked to my room to get changed before dinner. Hoping I wouldn’t have to see Elena and her accusing stares.

After I had gotten changed into a red t-shirt, black jean shorts and some ballet flats.  I went to the dining hall where they said they were going to be serving dinner.  The dining hall had at least 20 tables evenly spread out around the room and there were some booths on the walls as well. It was really awkward just standing there since I really don’t know anybody, and my brother was nowhere in sight. So instead I lined up for some food, they had lamb casserole with rice it didn’t look bad at all. I was afraid they were going to serve us grey mush. Whew! I looked around again hoping my brother might have come by now, but still no sign of him.

I groaned and walked over to an empty booth, feeling like a loser with no friends. I slowly ate my food, looking at all the other kids having fun, joking around and playing pranks.

“Ummm….Excuse me, is that seat taken.”  A sexy voice asked, I looked up to see the boy that helped me off the floor earlier before.

“Oh……uh……no?  I said but it came out more like a question, WHAT is wrong with me I can’t believe I’m letting a boy do this to me. He just smiled and took a seat across from me in the booth.

“So how long have you gone to this school?” The incredibly hot guy across from me asked intently, I could feel myself getting lost in the blue depths. Snap out of it Luna, just don’t look into his eyes, his gorgeo- STOP!

I blushed and looked at my food in front of me “I’m….um...new” I said trying not to look at him.

“Really, me too” He smiled and started his food, “I just started today”

“Me too” I didn’t know what else to say I didn’t want to say or do anything stupid.

“Well, Well, Well what do we have here” My brother Lucas said looking between me and the hotty that happened to just come and want to sit with me. No Luna, bad Luna stop thinking about him like that.

“Nothing” I said a bit too fast, Lucas just smirked at me. Oh crap this is not good. I looked over at the boy, Note to self: need to ask his name, No wait I don’t want to know then I might get attached isn’t that what happens. Anyway I looked over at him, and guess what he was looking at me, his beautiful eyes intently watching my every move. I blushed and looked at my empty plate. Oh I guess I ate it all, I wonder if I can get some more. So I might have an excuse to keep talking to hotty.  No I’ll just go to my room and stop thinking about him.

“Really, it sure doesn’t look like nothing” Lucas taunted, I just want to punch his face right now.  Come on Luna you can’t go all girly when a hot guy comes around; there are plenty of hot guys around. Come on Luna prove that you’re not going all soft over this boy.

“There’s nothing going on” I glared at Lucas, pushed him to the ground and strutted out of the dining hall. Now that’s the Luna i know show no mercy to anyone. I smirked, looking through the halls for someone to ‘get to know’ if you know what I mean.

Just kidding

I was going to stop but I ain’t that mean.

I looked around the empty hall; there was no one here at all. It was deserted, so instead I went up to my room for the night.

The next morning I quick got dressed, brushed my hair and ran to the breakfast bar, the day before I was too late for it and had nothing to eat till lunch. When I got there it was pretty much empty there was a few people meeting up and others sitting by themselves. I went to the bar, grabbed some toast and orange juice. They don’t serve eggs and pancakes and stuff till the weekends, which was so different to home where I got, waited on m every need, which included eggs and bacon for breakfast.

After I had got my food I went and sat at the booth I had sat at for dinner the previous night. I was there for about 5min before I heard that sexy voice that I loved and hated at the same time.

“Well, Hello” He said taking the seat across from me like yesterday, the very sound of his voice made me shiver. OMG this was getting worse, before he could start a conversation I just glared at him. He looked at me with confusion and hurt. “Oh, is this seat taken”

I stood up grabbed my plate and stalked of; he could not know how he was making me feel I didn’t even know the guy. I sighed put my plate in the sink and started walking to my first class, even though class didn’t start for another 20min.
