I ran out of the room pushing and shoving everything and everyone in my way. I didn’t know where I was going I just needed to get out of here, the look on his face imprinted in my mind. I could feel the eyes of every student in the hall on me. It took all of my strength to not turn around and shove them into a nearby locker. I rapidly blinked my eyes, refusing to let my tears fall. As I tried to swallow the lump in my throat.

Suddenly I was pulled to a halt, by someone grabbing my arm. I whipped my head around to the culprit, my breath got caught in my throat as I held back the tears threatening to fall. His hand was shooting tingles up my arm, I stared into his breath taking blue eyes. Anger and sadness showing so clearly, it broke my cold heart in two.

I just stood there staring deep into his eyes as he did the same with mine. He snapped out of it before I did, tightening his grip and dragging me down the hall to the front door. Ii stumbled trying to regain my footing, I think he noticed this because he slowed down until I was standing up right. As soon as we were outside which was weirdly deserted, he spun around facing me.

“What was that all about before?” he whisper/yelled, obviously trying to keep his voice down just in-case people were eavesdropping.

Numerous smart ass comments came to mind, but for some reason I felt compelled to tell the truth. “She spoke to me rudely” I answered with my head down, slightly ashamed.

“That's it!” he yelled some of his anger seeping into his features. “So you decided to beat the crap out of her??”

I shrugged still with my head down, it was in my nature not to care but when I look into his deep blue eyes I start to question myself. He grabbed my shoulders, pushing my back against the school wall. He was careful not to hurt me.

“How can just stand there and just shrug your shoulders, like it doesn’t even matter?” he was obviously hurt from my response, as his voice cracked on the last word. He was studding my face, waiting for my answer.

For some reason seeing the hurt expression on his face I couldn’t tell him the truth, and tell him that I didn’t care so instead I said “I don’t know” I looked down at my feet, avoiding any eye contact.

He sighed, hesitantly letting go of my shoulders and taking a step away. “Just stay away from Violet!” I looked up at his face, he looked like he was having an internal battle. He kept opening his mouth like he wanted to say something, and then closing it again as if he changed his mind. I just stared at him waiting for him to make up his mind.

After another 5 minutes of him opening and closing his mouth. I decided to just wave my hand in front of his face. He looked like he forgot I was even here, which oddly made my chest hurt.

“Are you ok” weirdly my voice came out sincere, instead of the usual sarcasm.

He stared at me as if he was looking at me for the first time, there was confusion and something that I haven’t seen before, in his eyes.

“Yeah, I’m fine” he said as if he was trying to convince himself, he shook his head breaking eye contact.

“Oh by the way......... I’ve been meaning to ask you..................What’s your name?” he asked, scratching the back of his head. As he looked everywhere but me.

I smiled and chuckled “Luna, What about you?” I said with a bit more confidence.

“Alexander, but most people just call me Alex, you don’t have to call me Alex, you can call me Alexander if you want to.............” he rambled, scratching the back of his head again. I noticed that every time he scratched his head, his biecept unintentionally flexes.

I chuckled, nodding my head. Staring at his biecept, he smirked, as he caught me staring. I smirked, bringing my eyes to his face, “I guess I’ll see you round, Xander” I smiled at his shocked expression, and walked back into the school.
