After reading the story, you might be wondering what happened to few characters. So here, I present to you my SIDE STORIES.

BENVOLIO
His character was supposed to be the messenger between the two lovers while in exile. He had taken letters from Juliet and went to deliver it to Romeo.

But the tragedy is that, the ship in which he sneaked in turned out to be heading towards a battle war.

As a result, he had to unwillingly fight for two months. Using the correct opportunity, he sneaked out as soon as possible and headed to Mantua.

But when he returned, all the tragedy was over. Both were dead.

From the locals, he found out about the stone and decided to investigate it in the house. He searched for an entire month and finally digged the stone from the soil.

The stone was then handed to another of the infamous King of Europe under the permission of King of Iran. This was all done discreetly without the knowledge of King Esculas.

And thus, he solved the mystery of the stone.

LORD CAPULET and LORD MONTAGUE
After the punishment of the King, both of the families became allies.

They realised that their children died due to their hate and this ended the hatred penetrated through years.

But both of them still competed with each other, which is seen in how both announced to build a gold statue for their in-law.

MATILDA
She was a small villian in our small love story.

But she was a better sister. She wished for Juliet to have a happy future. And she knew her love for Romeo will end in tragedy, as it did.

As for her, she was devastated by all the deaths. It was cruel for her and she blamed herself for everything.

But after one year since the tragedy and the punishment of the King, she was relieved. She got married to the man she dated in the beginning of the story and started a new family.

She even named her daughter Juliet.

ROSALINE
In the original play, Rosaline was the lady Romeo had fallen for. But she was not interested. Thus he sneaked into a party to see her but that's when he met Juliet.

Rosaline hated the Montagues just as much as Tybalt. Tybalt's death broke her and Juliet's betrayal destroyed her.

She kept Romeo and Juliet's secret to herself. She had her reasons.

Firstly, Juliet being alive would be a shock for everyone. She would have to survive in a loveless marriage with the King and Rosaline didn't want that.

Secondly, their reputation would go down as the Queen running away with her lover wasn't something to be proud of.

Lastly, she didn't want the King to have the stone as he accidentally revealed his plan to kill all the nobles and rule over Europe with the stone.

But in the end, she didn't forgive Juliet for her deeds.

JULIET'S MAID
Her maid was a replacement for her nurse from the original play.

The maid was just a 15 year old girl who fell in love with the Prince unknowingly. He took advantage of her and she couldn't reveal that.

She blackmailed him to marry her. Had she exposed his evil deeds earlier, the Prince wouldn't have been crowned. The Prince agreed to it.

She was crowned the Queen after the death of our two lovers. Siding with Lord Capulet and Montague, she found evidences and witnesses to punish the King.

Having given birth to a new heir, she received enormous power and with that power, she punished the King.

She raised her son with the help of the former King and Queen and he turned out to be a better King in the future.

ANTONIO
He was a supportive brother. His character was very rare for that era as women were looked down upon. But he always saw his sisters as equals and taught them.

After Juliet's death, he trained both Matilda and Rosaline so that they could defend themselves. He got a lot of criticism but his priorities were set.

He also completed Juliet's dream of opening sword training classes for women.
