Things had escalated so much in the span of 24 hours, and I was fully aware of that. I was aware of all of this, actually. All I could do whenever I looked at this man was go on a train of thought.
Never did I allow myself to just... exist. Be in the moment with him. And I think the universe gave me the perfect opportunity to put that into place.
It was a whirlwind — my living area to my bed, I mean. He was so excited, as was I, so we're crashed into almost everything. Starting off with the stools that blocked the top of the island in the kitchen, in hopes that he could sit me atop it.
"Knock a plate over and you'll be cleanin' it up."
"Not a problem for me," he hastily mutters back before pushing away anything that could possibly be in his way. I gasp in excitement and also surprise before he hoists me on the cold stone.
