𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙣

"Why does this place have so many puzzles?" It was the first thing M/N had said when the puzzle door slid open for the two men. Leon glanced over towards the taller man, who had his arms crossed over his chest. Leon could feel the tension radiate off of the younger man, who was still sour after they ran into Ada, and Leon didn't know how to fix it.

"I have no idea, but right now our focus is to find Ashley, come on," Leon said, walking in front of him. 

"Whatever you say captain," M/N said sarcastically, following the agent along the dirty hallways. He really wished he had some sort of weapon, cause it was beyond creepy here. The two made it into another room that led to stairs, which they had climbed, M/N was startled when something walked past the doorway, causing him to grab onto Leon's arm in fright. 

"Oh, great..." Leon was starting to get fed up with all these new surprises coming their way. Why can't he just catch a break for once? Man does he need a vacation. The duo went through the door and had to go the way the creature had gone.

"Why do we have to follow the creature, can't we, like, go around it?" He asked, looking over to Leon.

"Unless you know how to fly, then no," Leon said, causing the taller one to sigh. The older man shrugged his shoulder to get M/N's hand off him so he could lift the dresser in front of the two. M/N jumped when the dresser was lifted out of their way, to see something crawling towards one of the creatures and attaching itself to their back, controlling the creature from behind.

"What the fuck is that?" M/N asked in a panic as it made its way towards them, Leon already getting his gun out to shoot at the thing on its back. M/N was pushed back by Leon as he shot at the creature, until the thing on its back exploded into green pus and the walking infected person collapsed on the hard hood floor surrounded by its own blood. M/N was breathing heavily at that, even after seeing everything that has happened in this castle and on this Island, M/N was still having a hard time coming to terms with it. 

"Okay, M/N, come on," Leon said, turning to the taller male, who was still looking at the body.

"W-we're going to die? Aren't we Leon?" M/N asked him. Leon's eyes softened as he looked at the taller man, he put his gun away and went up to him, cupping his cheeks and whipping away the tears that rested against his cheeks.

"No. We're going to get out of this, M/N, I promise," Leon told him, leaning up to press their foreheads together. M/N closed his eyes, a tear slipping down his cheek at the affection. Maybe Leon wasn't like his ex's, maybe he was one of the good ones.

"I fucking hate this castle!" M/N exclaimed in frustration and out of breath as Leon closed the door behind them. The young man leaned against the railing, trying to catch his. 

"I'm starting to get the feeling they don't want us here," Leon quipped, hiding his smirk as M/N glared over at the shorter male.

"Do you really want me to punch you? Cause you have a very punchable face right now," M/N hissed in irritation. Leon merely gave him a smug look before walking forwards with M/N following after him.

"You wouldn't, you love this face too much," Leon said, feeling confident all of a sudden rising up inside of him. M/N raised a brow at that, before smirking.

"That's besides the point. I'd still punch it if you irritated me enough," He nudged the shorter man affectionately, noticing how his cheeks redden at the touch. Oh, he was so gonna have fun with this in the future.

As the two came to a door, Leon pushed it open far enough for the both of them to walk in. Upon looking in front of them, they noticed a mop of blonde locks. M/N smiled as he quickly walked over towards his sister, Leon following after him, a smile threatening to make its way to his own lips. "Ash!" M/N exclaimed in happiness, Ashley looked up to see the two, and scooted away from them, "Ash?"

"Stay back!" Ashley shouted in fright, "I might hurt you again," she spoke, crushing the duo's heart. Ashley didn't mean to, they both knew that, but she was acting as if she did it on purpose. Ashley sobbed, looking at her hands, the veins in her hand showing the infection, M/N looked down at his own hands, noticing the same growth, but he felt fine, no more coughing. "I'm so scared. When that happened... I wasn't myself anymore. I was something else." She looked at them, the pain on her face hurting M/N. "I almost killed M/N if you didn't stop the knife," Ashley said. M/N raised a brow at her. But, he couldn't die, his genetics wouldn't allow that.

"Ashley, that must have been terrifying. I-I know." Leon said, trying to calm her down, going to stand next to the taller man.

"You two?" She asked him, noticing the veins on his arms. He nodded, going to sit next to her.

"It's okay to be afraid, you know. But you can't run. You have to keep moving forward. We will beat this. All three of us. Together." Leon said as M/N sat next to him on the couch. Ashley sighed, leaning back against the couch, looking at him.

"I don't know if I can. M/N's so much stronger --" M/N cut her off, leaning over Leon, who looked at him with mild irritation.

"You can Ash." M/N said. Leon pushed him out of his space, causing M/N to laugh, grabbing at his hand. Ashley hasn't seen him smile like that since the day he came out to her and their dad.

"Just give me a heads-up before you stab me next time, okay?" Leon said, using his free hand to pat her shoulder. Leon then jerked his other hand away from a laughing M/N as the older man whipped his hand on his pants with a look of disgust, "did you just lick my hand?" Leon gave him a look of disbelief as M/N continued to laugh. Ashley chuckled at them.

"Leon... Thanks." Ashley said, smiling at the older man, who gave her his own smile in return. Yeah, Leon was definitely better than his ex's, and the twins were grateful to meet someone like him.

Note: Aw, look at the two flirting with each other, even after Ada flirted with Leon. Also, the wink Ada sent M/N is a "go for it" type of wink lol
