~Beth POV~

"Why's your face looking like that?" I asked Imogen as we walked out of security and into the main area of the airport where the shops and restaurants were.
"What you talking about?" Imogen tried to brush off.
"You looked weird at security." I said. Having such high amounts of anxiety, I always knew when someone was off with small changes in facial expressions and body language. Being so close to Imogen for years, I knew her like the back of my hand. She looked over at me, knowing I wasn't going to drop it, and sighed.
"Look, don't go crazy but I believe my eyes have deceived me."
"Well, you are like legally blind and won't wear glasses." I smirked at her.
"HA. No, but, my eyes told me I saw someone who looked just like, it maybe even was, Noah." Imogen replied.
"No way." I laughed, thinking she was taking the mick.
"No, like, he was super tall, covered in tattoos. Had that short haircut, same as his but could just be another poser dude, I don't know." she said.
"If it was Noah and I missed him at airport security I would have to just throw myself off the plane." I joked.
"I doubt it was him." Imogen said, shaking her head. I looked at her with raised eyebrows before we pressed on, going to look at the airport stores to waste time before our flight.

I was looking in a store for a snack whilst Imogen was in the bathroom until I looked at my phone and saw we only had 15 minutes to board the flight.
"Shit!" I exclaimed, dropping the snack back on the shelf and running towards the bathroom. There was a hefty line outside but I had to get in there to grab Imogen. "Excuse me, sorry, can I, thanks, sorry!" I said as I wormed my way through the line of ladies and into the bathroom. "Imogen! Imogen! You in here!?" I called out. I turned around and saw Imogen looking at me confused as she dried her hands in the blower.
"Can I help you?" she asked, sarcastically.
"Flight! 15 minutes! We need to go!" I frantically shouted at her. I could feel the eyes of other customers staring at me which made my anxiety rise high and make me want to leave even faster.
"Shit! Okay, okay!" yelled Imogen.
Both of us ran through the airport, heading towards the terminal for our flight. We couldn't miss it and the next flight to the UK had been cancelled that day. We reached the gates to board the plane where a hostess stopped us.
"Boarding passes?" she asked.
"Yes, shit, sorry, here!" panted Imogen as she presented both of our boarding passes.
"You're in luck, cut off time was just about to happen." said the hostess as she checked our passes. I looked over at Imogen with a stare, relieved but also distressed. "Enjoy your flight." she smiled at us as she handed them back.
"Thanks." said Imogen as she led the way down the terminal.
"Imm's, that was ridiculous! This is why I was concerned!" I said to her.
"Relax, we made it didn't we? We're boarding now." she Imogen, still unfazed. I frowned at her carelessness but she was right, we made it and we were boarding the plane.
As we reached the end of the terminal, I could see the door to the plane which sent an anxiety shiver through my body. This was it. We were really doing it.
"Hello! Welcome aboard, enjoy your flight!" greeted the flight attendant with a welcoming smile as we boarded the plane. I gave her a nervous smile as we began to head down the aisle. Imogen led the way and found our seats at the back half of the plane, near an archway which was covered with a curtain.
"Ooof! Well, we made it." Imogen sighed as she slumped herself down. I could feel my body shaking as I placed myself next to her. It was a mix of nervousness and excitement. "You groovy?" she asked.
"Mhmm." I said, gripping the arm rests.
"Hey," she said, grabbing my hand. "relax, okay? Just think, you're seeing your favourite band in just a couple of days!"
"I know." I exhaled with a smile. "And you're meeting Spencer!"
"Stop, it's still surreal!" Imogen replied, excited. I giggled at her excitement and then I heard the doors of the plane close, sending a chill of anxiety through me. This was it.

A couple hours had passed on our long flight to the UK. Imogen held my hand during takeoff so I didn't have a panic attack but once we were in the air I was stable. It had come to the point of the journey where I was desperate for the bathroom. I looked over at Imogen and saw she was sleeping with her face against the window so I went to find the bathroom myself. I glanced down the aisle and didn't see a bathroom sign so I headed towards the curtain divider and slid my way past it. That half of the plane looked a bit fancier with bigger booths and less people. Must of been first class? I stepped forward and saw my shoelace was untied so I quickly bent down to tie it up. I stood myself up and stepped forward without looking ahead and suddenly bumped into something face first.
"Whoa! Sorry little lady!" said a voice.
"Shit! Sorry, I-" I cut myself off as I looked up and realised who I had bumped into. My body froze and I couldn't help my mouth drop open.
"You okay?" he asked me. It was Jolly. It was fucking Jolly. The guitarist of Bad Omens. I opened my mouth to reply but no words came out. My voice was stuck in my throat. My eyes glanced just behind Jolly to a booth and I saw the top of someone else's head. The exact same haircut Noah had. I quickly looked back at Jolly, whom was waiting for my reply.
"Excuse me!" a voice behind me called. My whole body jolted and spun around to an air hostess, pulling back the curtain. "You can't be in here!"
"Oh...I-I'm sorry. I was...was looking for the bathroom!" I spat out.
"It's down the other end." she said to me, pointing back down the end I first looked.
"Oh...sorry." I said as I shuffled away from Jolly. I looked back at him and saw he was smiling but also looked confused. As I passed the air hostess, I caught a 1 second glimpse of the guy with the Noah haircut who was looking over at us, with sunglasses on, and I instantly knew it was Noah. I suddenly didn't need the bathroom anymore.

~Imogen POV~

I felt movement beside me as I opened my eyes. I yawned and looked over at Beth, who was sat upright and looking straight forward with a shocked expression.
"Beth?" I groaned as I sat myself up. She didn't reply or move. "Hello?" I said waving my hand in front of her. "What's up with you?"
"I...I...I had to go to the bathroom." she replied.
"Right?" I said, raising an eyebrow at her. "Why you acting so weird?"
"I...I..."
"Spit it out!" I said, shaking her.
"I saw Jolly!" she finally said, looking at me.
"What?"
"Jolly...Noah...they're...they're on the plane." she said to me
"Shut up." I said to her.
"I'm not kidding." she said, tone serious.
"Where?"
"Behind that curtain...first class."
"I need to see." I said, getting out of my seat.
"Wait, no! We're not allowed back there!" she said, grabbing me.
"I'm just gonna peek!" I said, reassuring her. She looked at me, still having a stunned expression before hesitating and then letting me go. I squeezed past her and over to the drawn curtain and then made a gap to poke my head through. I quietly gasped as I clocked Noah standing over a booth where Jolly sat. I knew it was Noah I saw at the airport! No way were they on the same flight as us! I drew the curtain back and looked at Beth with a wide open shocked-smile
"Well?" she asked, desperately.
"It's them. I knew I saw Noah! Bad Omens is on our flight!" I said, rushing back over to her and grabbing her hands. Beth and I both let out excited squeals, trying not to disturb other passengers. "How crazy is that!" I said, returning to my seat.
"I feel like I can't breathe! My favourite band is a few inches away from me!" Beth said, still in shock.
"You should go and say hi!" I suggested. Beth looked at me with wide eyes, shaking her head.
"No! Also, we're not allowed into first class!"
"Boring." I smirked at her.
"Plus, I don't even know what I'd say to him! I didn't even speak to Jolly! It was so awkward!"
"Message Noah."
"What?"
"On TikTok. He's seen your videos, send him a message, see if he'll reply." I suggested.
"We're on a plane."
"Which has wifi, duh." I said to her.
"Touché. But...but I don't know what to say to him!" she said, pulling out her phone.
"Let me do it." I offered
"No!"
"Why not?"
"I do not trust you." said Beth.
"Come on, you can watch me write it." I said, holding my hand out to her. She looked at my hand and hesitated, but then sighed and handed her phone over to me.
"Fine. But don't be rude!" She had her phone already open on TikTok so I went over to Noah's private page and messaged him.

'Heyyyyy'

"Don't put that many Y's! That makes me sound thirsty!" Beth snapped at me.
"Okay, okay!" I laughed as I deleted them.

'Hey, this may be random, but I think you're on my flight?'

I typed out.
"There." I said, holding her phone to her. "Any good?"
"Hm, okay." said Beth, a little unsure. "That doesn't sound too weird. I doubt he'll reply to me."
"Oh, sure he will!" I said as I pressed send. Suddenly, Beth gasped and then placed her head into her hands and groaned. "What now?" I asked.
"I just realised I full on face planted Jolly. Like literally, face on the breast, I am so embarrassed." she groaned.
"Well, that's one way to meet your heroes." I laughed.
"It's not funny!" Beth said, scowling at me.
"Hey! At least it wasn't Noah." I replied.
"Oh god, I really hope the day I meet him I don't do something embarrassing."
"What do you mean? He's like 10ft away, go meet him now!" I said, urging her to do so.
"No! I already sent him that message!" she exclaimed.
"Fine, I'll go get him." I said, standing out of my seat. Beth quickly grabbed me and pulled me back down.
"No! Jesus, I literally just made a fool of myself, it's too soon. Can we...can we just wait til we're off the plane?" Beth pleaded. I knew she was being deadly serious and if I were to force her it could trigger one of her panic attacks, so I wasn't about to push further.
"Okay, sure. We'll catch them at the airport." I smiled at her.
"Thank you." Beth sighed with relief. I didn't know how she was supposed to go the rest of the flight knowing that her favourite band was literally behind a curtain from us. If it was Ice Nine Kills, I wouldn't have cared what that flight attendant said, I'd be straight back there.
