Chapter 4

Marinette

Marinette was asleep when she heard something that sounded like it came from outside. Marinette sat up and looked out her window.

What was that? Marinette thought as she started to go to her balcony above her head. She looked over at the ground when she saw a flash and then it stopped and a person was left and what looked like...

"AN AKUMA?!" Marinette yelled in shock, "There hasn't been an akuma since Monarch was defeated, and the Butterfly was lost," Marinette gasped, "That means someone found the butterfly miraculous! Well, Tikki looks like our time off has come to an end," Marinette said,

"TIKKI, SPOTS ON!"

Marinette had transformed and was now Ladybug, swinging through the city and landing behind the villain.

"Stop right there!" Ladybug called to what looked like a cross between a scientist and a shadow.

"Ah, Ladybug, nice to see you here, I am Shadowstrike." Shadowstrike said, "And I've been told to make your life a living nightmare!"

Ladybug's eyes widened in shock but then she took a deep breath. "You don't scare me Shadowstrike," Ladybug said, Shadowstrike then disappeared into the floor and came up behind Ladybug. Ladybug's eyes widened before he kicked her in the back and right into a building 15 feet away. Ladybug groaned as she fell to the ground.

Ugh looks like this is gonna be a little tougher than with Monarch, Ladybug thought,

"Where is Chat Noir?!" Ladybug yelled as she got up and turned around and walked forward holding her head.

"He's not here!" Shadowstrike said as he came up behind her Ladybug looked up and when she turned around she only had a second before she was punched in the stomach.. again and straight into a pole. Ladybug grunted when she hit the pole. She slid down the pole and clutched her stomach where she had been punched by Shadowstrike.

"Aww look at that, is Ladybug having a hard time?" Shadowstrike said mockingly. "No," Ladybug said as she was getting up, "Just adjusting to the new threat!" Ladybug said as she threw her yoyo at him trying to tie him up with her yoyo but he used his shadow powers to get out of it and came up in front of Ladybug as she looked up with shock as he then punched her in the face and knocked her down. Ladybug just lay there in pain holding her face. He was about to kick her in the stomach again when someone tackled him to the ground.

"Stay away from her!" said the person who tackled Shadowstrike.

"Chat Noir!" Ladybug said glad that he had shown up.

"Yeah, that's me!" Chat said, "Cataclysm!" Chat Noir said as he touched Shadowstrike's Lab Coat before he could do anything else to Ladybug.

"Ladybug!" Chat yelled. Ladybug struggled to get up and then when she did she caught the akuma as it came out. "Bye bye little butterfly," Ladybug said weakly.

"Ladybug are you alright?" Chat noir said concerned as he walked towards her, "Yeah yeah, I'm fine, just a little tired," Ladybug said, "Pound it?"

"Pound it!" Chat Noir replied. Ladybug then swung back home.

When Ladybug landed on her balcony she winced in pain from all the beating she's gotten. "Spots off," She then went onto her bed and winced from the impact. She then went back to sleep.
