[DAY TWO] A Sea of Stars

SUMMARY: Tsukasa and Rui go stargazing at night! They infodump and have deep talks about deep things. This somehow helps them grow closer with one another.

After having successfully promoted Pheonix Wonderland by doing shows on the beach, Wonderlands x Showtime had decided to celebrate by having a small party on the shoreline. Sparklers were waved around dangerously in everyones faces (Read: Tsukasa's face)

Emu and Nene had already gone back to the hotel, exhausted and ready to call it a night. Tsukasa was planning to follow them along with Nenerobo, but Rui had other plans.

"Tsukasa, wait," Rui called out. He grabbed Tsukasa's wrist, "Stay with me a bit longer, will you? There's something I think you'd like to see."

Tsukasa raised an eyebrow. "Eh? What is it?"

Rui smiled. He said nothing, and instead just wordlessly sat down on the sand and pat the space beside him. "Just trust me, alright, Tsukasa- kun?"

Well, there wasn't really anything for Rui to do, Tsukasa thought. He sighed, taking a seat beside Rui. "So why are we here?"

The purple- haired boy only smiled wider, pointing his index finger upwards. "Look up," He whispered.

Confused, but curious, Tsukasa raised his head to look at the sky-

"...Woah."

Across the navy blue sky were hundreds and thousands of stars that shone in the dark night. Their own galaxy, the milky way, was visible, spread across the sky like a paint splatter. All kinds of blues and purples and even the slightest hint of yellows and oranges were scattered across the galaxy, leaving Tsukasa absolutely starstruck by the sight. Shimmering like smoke in the waters reflection, the moon danced high up in the sky with the twinkling stars, shining ever so brightly and pulling the tides along with it.

Tsukasa his eyes away from the beautiful sight, looking at Rui. His eyes were shining brightly, the exact same way the stars were, Rui pointed out mentally.

"It's beautiful!" Tsukasa gasped, "How'd you know about this?!"

Rui chuckled, enjoying the way the moons soft light highlighted Tsukasa's soft skin. "I have my ways, of course... that way being the weather app. Perfect night for stargazing, it read, and I thought you would like it."

"And I do!" Tsukasa nodded vigorously, "It looks absolutely amazing!! It's a shame you can't see a view like this in the city itself."

Rui nodded in agreement. "That's because of the light pollution from all the artificial light we have," He explained, "One of the effects are not being able to see the stars in the sky. But in a place like this, there's not much artificial light, so we can see everything clearly."

Tsukasa looked up at the sky once more, "This is the first time I'm actually seeing the stars like this," He muttered, "I've never seen so many at night. It looks so cool.. and you can see a ton of constellations, too!"

The peach blond boy pointed up at a small cluster of stars. "See, look! Sagittarius!"

Rui followed Tsukasa's finger and gaze, looking at the same cluster of stars. He drew his finger from star to star, making mental lines that connected each white dot. "Huh, it is," He muttered. Rui chuckled, looking back at Tsukasa. "The centaur, right?"

Tsukasa nodded. "Yeah! And, hold on, let me see if I can find any more constellations.."

As Tsukasa continued staring up at the sky, Rui kept on staring at Tsukasa himself.
