Damian groined as he felt his head was throbbing painfully and his whole body ached, feeling pretty exhausted. Parts of his skin felt tight and tender, results from the countless bruises he received from his enemy. Damian slowly got up and examined his surroundings, he had been left in some kind of abandon green house. Moss and some sort of fungi were clinging to the old beat down counter and the glass roof had a big chunk missing. The only light coming into the old worn out space was the soft glow of the moon over the glass ceiling. Once his vision became clearer and the pain in his head subsided a bit, Damian slowly got up and examined himself. He was dressed in his Robin uniform and none of his tools or weapons were missing from his utility belt, except for his cell phone. Damian should had felt at ease knowing he was armed with his gadgets and his katana attached to his thigh but what worried him was he was the fact that his uniform was stained. What he had thought had been mud stains turned out to be dried stain of... blood.
What happened?
Damian tried to recall his memory, but everything seemed to be a blur, he remembered being asleep back at his room at the Tower. He never once woke up to... no wait... he had been awake. He remembers waking all a sudden, gasping for breath when a figure cast in shadows was looming over him, panic and confusion made him collapse unconsciously. Damian vaguely could remember being picked up and he his words near to a whisper called for help which never came.
Damian massaged his face, being able to feel the certain parts that were very tender. He stilled his hand as he felt a very cold breeze suddenly swept through his body.
"You're finally awake, dear brother."
Damian didn't turn as he heard the voice from behind, instead stood very still, paying close attention to how far the voice sounded behind him. His emerald eyes darted stealing slide glances hoping to catch his enemy's shadow – anything to show where his enemy could be located.
The voice, that for the last couple of weeks has been a thorn to his side snorted, "Are you still believing me to be a sort of phantom? An illusion perhaps? I'm not a cat either whose holding your tongue captive." Damian stayed silent, but this annoyed whoever was behind him as he heard the voice click his tongue in annoyance. "Tt. Or perhaps... a raven got your tongue."
Damian's calm and collected mind suddenly blurred as he could feel his blood boil suddenly and his body reacted solely on the mentioned of his beloved's name. Being quick and agile, Damian unsheathed his katana and swung the long slender sword around him, hoping to graze whoever had brought him here.
The air whooshed and his katanna sang a silent song. Damian growled; he missed his target. The ominous voice chuckled once more but he grew lower his voice deeper, almost sounding mad. "Careful now brother, you don't want to lose a limb or perhaps you will finally listen to reason if you are are shown what happens to those that defy me."
"What?" Turned and found his doppelganger standing with his arms crossed over his chest and his head tilted to the side.
"See? When someone wants something it's when they start to come around, haha humans sure are strange creatures."
"Stop playing mind games, have you hurt someone else? Mark my words, I will not rest till you are brought to justice-"
"Justice? Ha! Don't make me laugh! You think the law can do anything to me, justice can't do nothing! That good for nothing bat-father met his end thinking that justice will do anything, and what about that stupid little witch-"
The other Robin fell silence as he easily dodged the batarang Damian had thrown him, the young titan then followed with dropping a few smoke bombs and making a dash towards the exit of the greenhouse. Something wasn't right. He thought as he ran as fast as he could, he musters whatever strength his body still had to swiftly get away from this living nightmare and get back...home. Where his friends were, where his brother awaited, and where she had to be.
