I'm often stuck
at a younger age.
I focus on the past,
and can't turn the page.

My story is on hold
because I sit and reread.
I will never finish this book
If the story I don't proceed.

I've grown attached to this chapter
I feel like it's all I've known.
If I finish this book
I'll feel completely alone.

I keep rereading
Hoping to find something new.
In the pages I have memorized
Like it might just come true.

But the past is the past,
And this story became too long.
This book was already finished
It's time I've moved on.
