A-Yeon's POV I started noticing the act that Heeseung was playing. He means it, those words. That he was desperate to get me back. To win me over.
And currently, we are at a meeting in the company in which they were discussing a project to build a new branch.
I don't know why but I felt like I've been left out to the news that Heeseung was the head of this project. A certain company kept proposing this to Heeseung but the Lee's company kept turning it down.
I could notice that Jay's assistant, Jake's engineers, and Sunghoon's architect were also in the meeting. Hana was here filling in her boss Jay's absence since he was away chasing Yuxin again. For god sake, Yuxin just arrived here and came from China.
Once again, the owner of this hotel tried his luck but Heeseung seemed not too interested in his proposal. He wanted to build this branch in the countryside for those who are visiting or traveling there.
I just sighed and went out of the meeting room and went to the 4th floor, the cafeteria. I was hungry so I got myself a meal. I don't care if Heeseung will get mad at me after leaving his side, after all, you can't resist an empty tummy.
That's right, I didn't eat breakfast so I'm going to eat right now. I actually did that on purpose because I don't wanna stay beside Heeseung.
In the cafeteria, I ordered my usual meal when I went here to visit. My usual was Fish cutlet with tartar sauce, cucumber salad, chicken stew, and rice. I went to sit at the empty long table.
There are other people that I know that were eyeing me but I didn't care, probably because I was an exchange employee and the new secretary of Heeseung which I just announced that the engagement ended.
❝I'm surprised that you're here.❞ I turned to see the one who talked and it was Changhee Oppa. He sat across the table and looked at me blankly.
It was kind of awkward that he was eyeing me and watching me eat. I felt like I lost my appetite. Changhee oppa was really scary that's why I hate the fact that could be the boss of me. I couldn't fight back because I know how he got mad. He'll turn into a dragon. ❝Are you just gonna stare at me for hours?❞ I asked with a shaky voice, I definitely don't want to meet his eyes.
It was scary, really. ❝Not really,❞ he groan as he fix his position. ❝I came here to say that Youngdae wants to see you after work.❞ That caught my attention, making me look at him. ❝Do you mean it? You'll not get mad when I'll go home alone, right?❞ I asked, making sure that he was serious with his words.
❝Yes, I'm not joking.❞ Well, that made me smile. I turned to my food and happily eat them. I was in the middle of eating when my phone turned on and got a message from Kakaotalk.
Just like Changhee oppa said, Youngdae wants to see me. I got my phone and replied to Youngdae smiling. ❝Now I see why.❞ Changhee oppa let out as I raise my head as I look at him with confusion but he just shook his head and stood up. ❝Nothing, forget about it.❞ He said bitterly before walking away.

Heeseung's POV I groan as I rested my back by laying down on the couch. I don't care whether it's still my working hours, I can catch up with my paperwork in no time.
I have another meeting in 3 hours and I might be going home late again. Seolhee walked out earlier in the meeting so probably I'll tell her to go home without me. I don't want to exhaust her on her first day.
Suddenly, someone knock on my door, and heard it open. I heard the clattering sound of a heel so probably, it was A-Yeon. ❝Stop lazing around. Here are the others about his proposal again. That guy wouldn't stop, would he?❞ I muttered as I slowly open my eyes and sat up.
❝By the way, I have another meeting this evening. You can go home early if you want. I'll be heading home late.❞ She just hummed and carefully placed the folders that she organized on my desk.
I stared at her as she suddenly tuck the strands of her hair behind her ear. Suddenly, my body just moved itself and walked toward her. My hand went to her chin but before I could even do something, I received a hard slap.
❝The fuck?!❞
She bumped into my shoulder as she walked out of my office. There you have it. She hates me even more now. What's wrong with me?
I could still feel the pain in my cheek.

It was already 7:40 in the evening when A-Yeon came out from the company. Heeseung still has a meeting to attend to. Right now, someone's been waiting for A-Yeon in front of the large company. ❝You're already here.❞ A-Yeon said in a surprised tone as she spotted Kim Youngdae.
❝Of course, I did. Probably for 20 mins now because I don't want you to wait here on the cold night.❞ Youngdae replied, standing up properly after leaning in his car. The Choi chuckle as she shook her head.
As she was about to get inside the car, a hand grabbed her, and that made her turn to see who it was. ❝Don't... leave... please...❞ Heeseung said as he got a flashback of her leaving him that day. His heart was aching.
