Chapter 18

Changhee adjusted his necktie as he walked toward Heeseung's office. When he opened the door, he was welcomed by a sleeping Lee and the Choi who was putting a blanket on him. ❝Oh, he's resting. I'll just leave this on his coffee table.❞ Changhee said and placed the folder on the coffee table.

But when he was about to go out, A-Yeon grabbed his hand. ❝Changhee oppa, can I talk with you??❞ She said in a low voice. Changhee hummed and then they went out, leaving Heeseung sleeping in his swivel chair.

They were in the hallway and A-Yeon told about Heeseung's health and how she discovered it days ago. ❝So... I just wanna ask if he can take a break from work for a month. He's also having therapy to get better.❞ She added. Changhee then smiles as he notices that she's very worried about Heeseung.

❝You know what, I like you more worried about Heeseung rather than someone else.❞ He said and patted A-Yeon's head. Changhee started walking away. ❝Don't worry Seolhee, I'll take care of it.❞ He reassures the Choi.

The girl smiled and then went to the elevator and pressed the floor level where the cafeteria was located. When she reached the level, she went to the counter and asked for the lunch lady to prepare two orders of Dumpling Soup, mixed veggies, and rice. She asked them to put it in a plastic container.

While waiting for the order, she went to get a warm water and cool gel patches for Heeseung. When the order was prepared, she got them and went back go to the 5th floor. When she opened the door of Heeseung's office, she was surprised that the Lee was now awake.

❝Where did you go?❞ He immediately asked with a husky voice. She closed the door and told him that she went to the cafeteria to get their food.

2 days later

❝Gala?❞ A-Yeon arched a brow and Seolhyun nodded at her. They were currently gathered for a family dinner together in the Choi's house and the Lee invited them for the upcoming Gala tomorrow.

Obviously, the Choi will definitely come. ❝Also, I invited your fiance, Changhee.❞ Heechul said as Heeseung and A-Yeon turned to look at their brother. Changhee just nodded and went back to eating, he was silent all night.

He wondered why because he saw his fiance drinking coffee at a cafe and she was with Youngdae. Yeonjun could tell that something was bothering him and all he could think of was Yeseo.

❝I saw Yeseo seeing someone else.❞ Yeonjun spills out making Heechul arch a brow. Heeseung finished his food and asked if he and A-Yeon could leave the table. Seolhyun happily nodded at them and they went upstairs, to A-Yeon's bedroom.

They started yelling at Changhee because of his words and how they talked to them and how did he let his fiance see someone else when she was already engaged to him. ❝That Youngdae again?! First Seolhee and now Yeseo? Is that how he desperately wanted our attention? It must've been his parents' doing.❞ They heard Heechul.

A-Yeon sighed as soon as she slowly closed the door before leaning against it and looking straight at Heeseung who was sitting in her soft bed. ❝Let them be. Dad's company and Youngdae's were rivals that's why Dad didn't like the idea of How Youngdae kept bothering us.❞ Heeseung said. He also mentioned that Changhee was friends with his brother when they were in high school but later on became strangers.

A-Yeon didn't ask Heeseung why Youngdae and his brother became strangers because she knew that he didn't know the answer either. Heeseung gestured for the girl to sit beside him by tapping the mattress and A-Yeon immediately sat beside him.

❝Do you feel better?❞ A-Yeon asked, pointing out about his condition. He's been receiving a lot of therapy after he took a break from work. On the other hand, A-Yeon was still working her job as a secretary but it didn't stop her duty to take care of her future husband.

Heeseung rested his head on A-Yeon's shoulder as they talked and laughed about random stuff that would pop into their heads. ❝You know... I... wanted to thank you. First of all, for taking care of me of course.❞ Heeseung's head was lifted from the girl's shoulder and they faced each other.

❝Second is, that you didn't leave me when I needed you the most, this time.❞

❝And last was... loving me...❞

Heeseung looked into her plump lips and his head came a little closer. He looked up at A-Yeon. ❝May I?❞ He asked and waited for the girl's nod or even hum but for a minute, he didn't hear anything. It was completely dead silent.

Heeseung looked away and he suddenly felt embarrassed, waiting for her response but there was no answer was given. When he was about to pull away and clear his throat out of embarrassment, A-Yeon's head approached, closing the small distance between their lips and touching Heeseung's.

Heeseung started to move as he slowly closed his eyes. His heart started to pump faster than earlier as their kiss deepened.

Unloving you, is really impossible.
