Kageyama “Damn it.”
Kageyama “Calm down.”
Kageyama “I heard the first doorbell.”
Kageyama “Who the hell is it at 3 AM?”
Kageyama stomps to the entrance door and snaps it open.
Kageyama “Do you know what time-?”
Kageyama starts screaming before he freezes.
Kageyama “Oikawa?”
Oikawa “I am sorry for waking you up.”
Oikawa “I think I lost my keys.”
Kageyama “T-that’s alright.”
Kageyama “Just enter quickly.”
Kageyama “Why are you soaked?”
Oikawa “Am I?”
Oikawa says in a low voice as he looks at his clothes.
Kageyama “Yes.”
Oikawa “Oh, yes, I am.”
Kageyama “Just take a quick shower before you catch a cold.”
Oikawa “.”
Kageyama “Why are you still standing there?”
Oikawa “.”
Kageyama “Oikawa?”
Kageyama says in a soft voice before taking Oikawa’s hand and walking him into the bathroom. Oikawa just follows without saying anything. Kageyama sighs as he stares at Oikawa. He presses his lips together before taking Oikawa’s shirt off. Oikawa didn’t move, he just stood there motionless. He allowed Kageyama to strip him before guiding him to the bathtub already filled with warm water.

Kageyama “Come on get in.
Oikawa sits in the tub and hugs his knees to his chest, making Kageyama’s heart ache.
Oikawa “Kageyama?”
Kageyama “Yes?”
Oikawa “Do you really believe that it’s not my fault?”
Kageyama “I already told you yesterday.”
Kageyama “It isn’t your fault.”
Oikawa “Then why did everyone today blame me for it”
Kageyama “.”

Oikawa “I was treated like nausea.”
Oikawa “As if I shouldn’t be there.”
Kageyama places Oikawa’s head on his chest and cradles him.
Kageyama “It’s not your fault, Oikawa.”
Kageyama “It really is not.”
Oikawa “Just if I didn’t tell him…”
Kageyama “You can’t blame yourself because of this.”
Kageyama “You told him because you trusted him.”
Kageyama “You want to open up to him.”
Kageyama “You wanted him to know that part about you.”
Oikawa “.”

Kageyama “His reaction and anger are not on you.”
Kageyama “And of course, the crash was not your fault.”
Oikawa “But…”
Kageyama sighs before he grabs the luffa and pours some soap.
Kageyama “Let's finish washing up before the water gets cold.”
Kageyama says before letting go of Oikawa and beginning to scrub Oikawa’s back gently.
Oikawa “I can do it.”
Kageyama “Mmm, but let me.”
Kageyama says as he takes Oikawa’s arm and rubs the luffa gently against his arm before moving to the next one.
Oikawa “This is embarrassing...”
After Kageyama finishes washing Oikawa’s hair and body he helps Oikawa wear the robe before placing a towel on his hair. He takes Oikawa’s hands and intertwines their fingers before walking into his bedroom.

Oikawa “I can get dressed alone…”
Kageyama “But-.”
Oikawa “N-No, that will be too much…”
Oikawa says after Kageyama gives him the cloth.
Kageyama “Alright.”
Kageyama “I will make some soup to warm you up.”
Oikawa nods before Kageyama leaves the room.
Kageyama “💭What the fuck happened at the funeral today?”
Kageyama “💭Is there a legal way for me to hunt his family down?”
Kageyama cuffs as he takes the knife and tightens his grip around the handle.
Kageyama “💭What did they tell him?”
Kageyama screams internally as he chops the vegetables aggressively, emptying all his anger on them.
Kageyama “💭And how long has he been wandering under the rain?”

Kageyama sighs before adding the vegetable to the pot then water, chicken broth, and seasoning. He walks back into the room to find Oikawa crying again. Kageyama approaches him slowly before kneeling in front of him. He takes Oikawa’s hand, making Oikawa look at him before quickly wiping his tears with the back of his hand.

Oikawa “I am sorry.”
Kageyama “Don’t apologize for crying.”
Kageyama “It’s better to let it all out than bottle it up.”
Oikawa “I just…can’t take it anymore…”
Oikawa says before dropping to his knees near Kageyama and hugging him. Kageyama caresses his back softly as Oikawa continues to cry. They stay in that position for few minutes before Kageyama speaks.
Kageyama “Oikawa?”
Oikawa “Yeah, sorry.”
