Valtteri Bottas joined Mercedes in 2017.In the opening season he had no power of challenging his team mate Lewis Hamilton,who was the number 1 driver for the team at that time.In 2018,Bottas was showing another version of himself,attacking Lewis for the win in multiple races.This quote became viral in Germany 2018,where Mercedes were 1-2 throughout the closing stages of the Grand Prix.Bottas pitted under the Safety Car,but Hamilton stayed out.As the green flag was out again Bottas on fresh tires was attacking Lewis,almost passing him.Bottas received a radio message from James Vowles,engineer at Mercedes saying "Valtteri it's James,hold position".After this,the radio message became a meme online.From there on,Mercedes used the same "Valtteri,it's James" everytime when Bottas was a possible threat to Lewis.
