Chapter 23, Confession

Both Eleonor and Y/n was admitted at the hospital for more than a week because of their injuries.

Eleonor has been fully recovered while Y/n was still lying in the hospital bed

"Jane, should we visit Miss Y/n, it's been two weeks since the accident happened" Louis suggested to her

"You are right, I think we need to visit her. But how about miss Eleonor?" Jane said to Louis

"Jane, can I go with you two? I also like to visit sis Y/n" Arthur said to the two

"Ofcourse, she is your sister" Jane smiled

"Let's just go get some flowers" Jane said to Louis and Arthur

At the hospital

Mrs. Matilda went to Bristol after learning what happened to Y/n.

"I hope Miss Y/n was fine" Arthur said to his brother

"Let's just pray that everything will be fine Arthur" Mrs. Matilda said to him

Arthur nodded

Suddenly, Count George entered the hospital and saw Matilda

"Baron George?" Baroness Matilda unbelievably saw her son-in-law

"Do you want to visit miss...

"Miss Eleonor Robinson" George interrupted

"I thought it was miss y/n.."

"Where is she?" George said in a hurry

"She's inside" Matilda worriedly said

"I need to have a talk with her" George said to Matilda

He entered Y/n's room and saw her sitting in the chair

"Miss Y/n, I need to tell you something" George said to her

"Mister Smith?" Y/n said upon seeing James's father in her front

"How are you?" George asked her

Y/n widened her eyes on what she have just heard

"I'm sorry but you need to distance yourself to Eleonor and James"

"Just let them be Y/n. You know what I mean" The count told her in a serious voice

Eleonor was outside the hospital sitting at the nearby park.

"I wish I was the one who falls first. Everybody kept their eyes on Y/n" Eleonor sobbed

"You are here" a voice came from the back

Eleonor looked were it came from

"James" she looked at him

"The weather is lovely today isn't it?" Eleonor said to James

"It seems that you recovered gradually. Come with me, let's take a walk" James said to her

As they were walking at the park, Eleonor asked him the same question she asked to Y/n the last time

"James, may I ask you?" Eleonor said to him

"What is it?" James replied

"Do you still have a feeling towards Y/n?" She asked

"Why did you ask that type of question" James said to her in a serious tone

"I just noticed that you two still have feelings toward each other, and that... It just made me uncomfortable." Eleonor confessed

"James, I want to know the truth. Who do you love more? Y/n?" She said emotionally

James just looked at her

"Answer me James" Eleonor said

"You're right" James replied to her

Eleonor's heart shattered

"I see" Eleonor said sadly

"Eleonor"

"When we met, perhaps I was merely taken with the notion of falling in love with you." James said to her

"I want to change now... Can you tell me where we went wrong? If it's something about me then I can change. You can tell me anything" Eleonor begged to James

"I regret all that I have done. It started that day at the theater when I said you were dear to me. It wasn't a lie. However, I only thought of myself. I never considered once how you might feel... I knew I would never be able to forget her. So I used you selfishly." James confessed to her

Eleonor couldn't believed what she have just heard

"No...NO!" She cried

"It can't be true!" Eleonor shouted

"I was certain that you cared for me  but you never do at all" She agonized

"I'm sorry" James replied

Eleonor ran off from the garden

James felt guilty upon seeing Eleonor in that state... James cried silently

Back at the hospital

Count George and James Smith already went back to london

Mrs. Matilda, Jane and Louis was at the waiting room waiting for the confirmation to enter the room. But suddenly, they saw Y/n helping the other patients who can't walk.

"Miss Y/n?" All the people was shocked

"What?" Y/n wondered

"What are you doing?" Josephine said to her

"It was just kind of boring at the room so I decided to help the others here" Y/n scratched her hair

"By the way, how was Miss Eleonor doing?" She asked them

"We didn't seen her here" they replied

William came back from the doctor's office

"Y/n, you can now go home" William said to his sister

"That's great" Y/n said to him

"Let's go now everyone, let's head back home" William said to the others

As they went outside the hospital, Y/n saw Miss Eleonor heading towards them

"Lady Eleonor" Y/n said to Eleonor

Eleonor went inside the carriage

"How are you Lady Eleonor?" Y/n asked Eleonor

Eleonor ignored her

"I'm sorry, I must've disturbed you" Y/n apologized

As soon as the others came back, they soon went to the Jones's residence

Jane and the others waited at the front door to greet Y/n.

William and Eleonor entered by the front door

"Where's miss Y/n?" Jane and Arthur asked wondering

Y/n entered by the back door

"There she is!" Arthur shouted

All of them went to the back side and greeted Y/n

"I'm sorry miss Eleonor" William said seeing the others not taking care of Eleonor

"It's fine" Eleonor furrowed her eyebrows

Y/n remembered what James's father told her and decided to go back to her room without saying anything ignoring the other people greeting her

"What's the matter miss Y/n?" Arthur shouted

At night

Eleonor was temporarily staying at the palace

Y/n packed her clothes and decided to go away overthinking what James's father had said to her while she's at the hospital.

"I must not interfer with their relationship." Y/n thought

Y/n climbed out of her window and decided to go back to Manchester at that night where Mrs. Josephine hired her as the governess of Mrs. Josephine's children.
