Chapter Five

I was finally in my house, at the door I encountered with my workmate. I was shocked, to see him as I realized he was a friend with Eugene. Who cares anyways, I noticed him gazing at me but I didn't bother to even look at him he didn't deserve my attention in the first place.  I decided to arrange my house and go to shopping for some snacks and other home stuffs.

I requested for a ride, few minutes later I was at the gate waiting for the cab to arrive and to my surprise, the neighbor opposite door was their.

"Hello, are you heading out?"

"Yeah, I need somethings from the mall, I want to get them before it gets late".

"What I coincidence, I was heading to the same place for foodstuffs. Just waiting for my ride".
I thought of minimizing spending by cancelling my ride on the app. I couldn't waste money.

"You are heading to the mountain view mall right?"

"Definately, that is the nearest mall around here."

I knew it but I just wanted to confirm from him, he may decide to head to Two Rivers.

"Can I share with you the ride, when we finish shopping I'll share my ride back with you, after all we are neighbours and we shouldn't misuse money right?"

"You are right, that is a great idea, I can see the cab is already here, KDX, that one".
He said while pointing to the Car that was approaching. He opened the door for me which was kind of him. I got inside and took my earphones from my coat, and decided to do the music.

I could see the driver saying something from the mirror and I assumed he was talking to Eugene. The music was relaxing and I decided to take a two second nap. But it was just one second when I could feel someone touching me.

"What do you think you are doing? Who told you you have the right to touch me? How dare you..."

"It's not what you think Liza, I..."

"You what? What kind of nonsense is this? You thought I was sleeping and decided to have your way with me huh??"

"Ma'am, he was just trying to fix your seatbelt, I have been telling you for a while to put it on but seems like the music was high."

What an embarrassment, how could I think of someone trying to take advantage of me yet he was trying to help. I'm really out of words.

"Don't give me your puppy eyes now, you should be sorry, I'm not those kind of guys to take advantage of women, I was trying to help but I got a lecture in return, poor me, why did God create a kind soul like me?"

I knew he was saying all those to make me feel more guilty which worked but I hope he could forgive me.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said what I did. Sorry".

"You should be. But I want an apology in a better way, you can't insult me and just say sorry and think that I'll forgive you".

Ooh my God, I thought he was kind and soft hearted. But he wasn't, how would anyone apologize properly, if he expects Liza to kneel down then, i can't do that.  I was sorry deep down my heart but this dude is trying to make me feel like I'm not. Who the hell does he think he is?

"Sir we are here now".

"How much do I owe you?"

"Two hundred and Thirty sir".

"I'll pay," I offered to pay maybe that was a better way to apologize.

" If that is the way to apologize, then trust me, I won't accept the apology then".
