Understand My Right Love

Chapter Eighteen

Love brings dreams to reality, love belongs to the faithful, responsibility is the cost we pay to love.  Loving is priceless just like the stars love the darkness in the night. Let me pay for my price of loving right. All I could think about was my love for him, who solves every problem I have, the one who makes me smile and happy.  Today was a new day, the day I can confess love won over everything.

I was sorted on a couch, waiting for my make up artist, everyone was waiting for her, the was running fast, all I wanted was to be calm.I have had my heavy breakfast. My sister was standing besides me all this time, she was the happiest, she couldn't believe I had found the one yet. My dad was around, since he couldn't spend the night at my mother's he decided to book a hotel and be there just to witness this day. I was happy that finally we put our differences aside as father and daughter to celebrate this day.

"Your make-up artist is already here Liz" Laura said with a big smile.

"Good morning ma'am, I'm sorry we are late".

"It's okay Nuru". I believe I had no reason to get angry or be sad on such an occasion.

"Let me introduce you to my assistants, this is Sheryl and Zainab".

"Nice meeting you ladies. We have limited time and I need everyone in this house dressed and ready".

"Okay ma'am, it won't take more than two hours".

My phone was ringing. The love of my life was definitely calling.

"Hey honey, how was your night?"

"My night was fine, I missed you so much dear".

"Same here Liza, can I video call you?"

"What if I'm naked?"

"I would close my eyes then".

"Hahaha, Eugene I need to tell you something".

"What is it Liza?"

"I love you so much and I can't wait to see you today".

"I love you more, I'll be waiting for you".

Eugene and I haven't seen each other for  a week. After settling the dowry my dad and I decided to solve our issues and act as normal human beings without holding grudges. I stayed at his place for two days. My mom was happy finally dad and I could talk as family. I came back to the city and had few errands to run as time was not on my side. Eugene had insisted on seeing me but unfortunately I couldn't avail myself as I was busy.

I was in my room waiting for the make-up artist to come do my makeup after she was done with everyone. One hour later I heard a knock at the door. That was too fast for one to apply makeup to seven people.

"Yes come in".

"Liza, the delivery guy brought this".

I was handed a red box by my sister.

"Who is it from?"

"Who else my dear, Eugene of course".

"Thanks, you...".

"Laura!"

"I should go now, I need my face to be beautified".

She left my room and I could now breath and open the box peacefully. I opened it carefully and it had some a necklace with earrings. This man knew it all just to make me feel special. I found a letter inside and decided to read it.

Dear Liza,
Before I give you my promises and vows, I thought of giving you a gift. Today being the special day of you and I, I hope I didn't rush things between us and you are ready as I'm. I already engraved my heart with you, I have no words to say how special you are to me. Do me the honour of wearing this necklace and earrings, I want it to outline your beauty. Yours truly Eugene.
