Understand My Right Love

Chapter Fifteen

I was happy, love was all I receive.  I was addicted to Eugene so did he, we spend time together, watched football together, headed to conferences together. My life was now colorful, I wished to experience this kind of love back then and now it was a reality. Eugene and I spend the weekend at his place, I had promised that to him because of my busy schedule, I was always busy, reading for my exams, writing books and stories, thinking of my bakery. Yes I had opened a bakery to help me generate more revenue to support my family, my two jobs were paying well but I needed something of my own, writing was just a passion, my poems did generate any money for me yet. I was struggling like a normal person, I wanted to achieve it all before I settle down with Eugene, the reason I get afraid that I may keep him waiting.

Today was another day, for introduction, I was invited at Eugene's place, I have never been there before, I had only seen his mom twice.  I had to put on something decent. No trouser today, I had few dresses to pick from. I had to wear my white dress. My door opened, I knew it was my man.

"You should be wearing dresses more often, you are so beautiful, someone may steal you from me".

"Thank you".

"Shall we?"

I held his arm as we headed out. Mark was waiting for us at the gate as usual.
He opened the front door and I was speechless, why would he let me sit next to Mark.

" I'm sorry Mark, today I will be driving my wife to be, see you on Monday".

I thought Mark would be angry but he was happy.

"Thank you Eugene, have fun Liza, bye".

I stared at him as he stepped inside the car ready to drive.

"Don't give me that look Liza,what is the matter?"

"Nothing".

"Don't lie to me, what is the matter my dear?"

" At what time shall we be back?"   I asked and he slowed down the car.  We were not at his parents yet but I had to know what time we shall return.

" Well, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, my dad had requested you to spend the weekend there till Monday, I didn't know how to tell you that, I know you love your space more. But if you don't like the idea, I'll bring you back in the evening".

I didn't like the idea of spending the time there since it was a new place, I had no chance to answer the father and if I would spend more time there we would know more about him.

"I will spend the two days there, I have no problem but I need clothes and my laptop".

"I will go get it for you but later, if you don't mind".

I nodded back at him. I thought of getting them something, fruits would do. I used my phone to see the nearest fruit vendor and requested Eugene to drop me right there, I picked some apples, mangoes, oranges, pineapples as well as watermelons.  About an hour we were at a gate,  the guard opened.

"Welcome Sir".

"Thank you Joshua".

My eyes couldn't believe the beauty of this place,  I observed closely. There were beautiful roses in pots at the door, some African paintings, everything was so beautiful.

"Hun, you should watch your steps".

What did he call me? I'm used to my name now, call me Liza.

"Just call me Liza please".

"I won't".

"But my name is Liza".

"I know, there is no perfect name to give you and express your place in my heart, but from today I will call you, sweetheart, honey, babe, or any other name that I will be able to pronounce".
