Navier was tired. She entered her bedroom and was laying in bed looking up to the ceiling hoping for sleep to miraculously find her. Unfortunately, she couldn't get Sovieshu's words out of her head.  The words, love rival, was all she could think about from her meeting that happened 2 hours ago.

The room was silent for a short time before Navier spoke up.

N: If that's all you have to ask from me, I'll take my leave.

Sovieshu stared at her blankly before telling her to stay seated.

N: I dont think theres anything else to talk about? I gave you my answer. If you're not satisfied with than I suggest getting rid of the mistress, it seems like she's too much to handle.

Mia didn't give in much thought to what she was saying and how differently she was behaving compared to the original owner of the body. She was to enraged to notice that Sovieshu caught this behaviour change.

S: You've changed a lot. I wonder how you'll react to my next request.

Navier finally taking in notice the difference in behaviour, decides to try to be more careful of her words.

N: What is it?

S: I would like you to remove one of your guest so Rashta can join us at the Banquet.

N: Absolutely not! You do realize that this a special banquet that not anyone can just decide to attend.

Mia forgot about her previous thought as she answered Sovieshu's request with utmost speed. She figured it was his specialty to make ridiculous request due to his position, but to think he would propose these request to his wife and on the same day?! She came to the conclusion that he definitely had no feelings for Navier whatsoever.

S: Is that the only reason you won't let her attend, or does it have something to do with her being your love rival?

N: I don't know how you got to that conclusion but that's not it. Why would I consider a little girl my love rival? She's your lover but most definitely not my rival, because your not my love. I mean why would I love someone that brings home another girl?

S: For goodness sake Navier, she's my mistress! Don't talk about her like that. Have you no shame?!

N: Shame!?  Should I be the one in shame right now? You're the one who's ruining our marriage by  formally committing  "lawful" adultery! And yet even after getting your lover a title, you blindly let her take more!

The couches in the middle of the study were now empty, as the two people where standing across from each other. They're voices grew louder and louder as they started yelling at each other and what started as a conversation between the emperor and the empress turned into an argument between husband and wife.

They continued to yell back and forth, both not backing down even though both knew who was right and who was wrong.

Sovieshu didn't mind getting yelled at, especially if it was Navier yelling at him. It reminded him of when they were young and she would scold him after he did something wrong like skip lessons or steal cookies that he wasn't suppose to touch. He continued arguing out of pride but deep down knew he did it because he didn't want this nostalgic moment to end. Although he didn't like the reason they were arguing, he couldn't do anything about it, after all Rashta was brought here to make Navier jealous.  He had thought before that maybe bringing another woman home would get Navier more involved into their marriage, not just as an empress. He wanted Navier to turn into a loving wife, like she was when they were engaged. Before she had her empress duties and before she casted him aside.  He knew this was completely not the way to do it, but he didn't think simply communicating with her would work. So, he used actions to make Navier jealous.

He thought everything would go well until he started enjoying the company and affection given to him by Rashta. It got to the point where he started seeing Rashta as Navier when they were sleeping together. Still he stuck to his plan and relied on the fact that Navier is his first love.

Taking in the what was happening at the moment, Sovieshu couldn't keep the glint in his eyes as he watched Navier's lips move. He knew that the woman that would always occupy his mind would be her.

Navier on the other hand, was getting more and more enraged. She was completely oblivious to the small smile growing on the emperor's face and his thoughts.

Mokiiix here, I'm trying out this new writing style ig. Idk it's just the way the speaking in the book will be different from previous chapters as you saw in this one. I'll try to stick with this way of writing speech for now, but i might go back to normal in future chapters if the people speaking are to many or if it just gets to confusing. Anyways hope you enjoyed this chapter, i tried to make it as long as possible!! :))
