Her Story

{Medusa's POV}

Medusa walked outside with a spear, she headed to the shore planning to catch some fish for Y/n. after a while she caught around 10 fish.

'That should be enough' she thought to herself.

Medusa made her way back to the temple and started cooking the food, after the food was finished, she headed back to where you were and found you were asleep.

a small smile appeared on her face, but it quickly faded.

"Wake up, Y/n" Medusa said.

{Your POV}

You slowly awoke, hearing Medusa's voice.

"Is the food done?" You asked her.

"Yes, it is" The serpent affirmed, then grabbed one of your hands. "Follow me."

you nodded and stood up letting Medusa lead you, soon she brought you to a table.

"You can sit down now..." she said.

you sat down in a chair and Medusa sat across from you. you took a bit to start eating considering that your blind.

"So... were you forced onto that boat?" Medusa asked.

"Oh yes, I was." you responded.

"May I ask why?" Medusa cocked her head sideways.

You nodded.

"The people in the town i was from never cared for me, including my parents they find blind people useless, so they decided to bring me here to basically die." You spoke.

the serpent hummed at your story.

"how'd you turn into a gorgon?" you asked.

"haven't you heard the story?" Medusa asked.

"Even if I had, I feel like it wouldn't actually be true." you pointed out.

"...I suppose I'll tell you. you've heard of Poseidon and Athena, how they are rivals correct?" the serpent pondered.

"Yes, I have."

"Well, I used to be a priestess for Athena, and I was beautiful, men around the world would come for my love, but I always rejected them... soon Poseidon also came for my love..." Medusa started.

"Did you reject him as well?" you asked.

"Yes, I did... and he did not take to kindly to that... he forced himself onto me right then and there, in the midst of Athena's temple..." Medusa said.

"You mean he... raped you...?"

"...Yes, he did. I called Athena for help, but it was too late... and when I brought the matter to Athena, she was angry not just at Poseidon but also at me..." she stated.

"But why!? you were forced into it!" you exclaimed.

"...she didn't believe me when I told her, so she cursed me, turning me into a monster, and worse of all cursed me to be lonely for an eternity... making anyone who looks into my eyes turn to stone..." Medusa finishes her story.

"Well, you don't have to be so lonely anymore, you have me now." You smiled gently.

though you couldn't see it Medusa's cheeks warmed up into a slight blush.

"Thank you, Y/n, you are very kind..." Medusa smiled.

"of course, Medusa it's not a problem." you said.

you two kept talking while you ate and when you were finished Medusa showed you to the guest room, so you had a place to sleep.

"Goodnight, Y/n... sleep well" Medusa said.

"Night."

after that Medusa left the room.

{Medusa's POV}

Medusa headed to her own room in thought.

'it's nice to actually have company after being alone for so long.' Medusa thought to herself then finally made it to her room.
