A week passes and you've quickly adjusted to the environment of the island.

You were sitting on the shoreline feeling the cool wind in you're face, you heard a twig snap and you turned your head to the noise.

"Medusa?" You questioned.

"Yes its me... what are you doing?" The serpent asked.

"I'm feeling the breeze" you smiled gently. "Would you like to join me?" You asked.

"I suppose I'll join you" Medusa made her way towards you and sat next to you.

There was a moment of a comfortable silence then you laid your head against Medusa's shoulder.

You felt Medusa tense slightly, but you were unaware of the blush on her face.

"Are you okay? You feel tense" you asked the serpent.

"O-oh... I'm fine, it's just been a while since someone has been close to me." Medusa stated.

"If it bothers you-"

"No! Ahem.. I mean no it doesn't" Medusa said in a nervous tone.

"Can I ask you a question?" You pondered.

"Of course" Medusa looked at you.

"Can I feel your face? I want to know what you look like" You asked.

"Sure" Medusa adjusted herself so that she was sitting infront of you.

She then gently grabbed your hands and placed them on her cheeks.

Her face was smooth, your hand traveled you hands up to her snake hair a small hiss came from one of the snakes and you felt a snake lick one of your fingers.

You smiled and petted the multiple snakes as they seemed to like you.

Medusa's face turned a darker green as she blushed.

You took your hands away from Medusa.

"You're beautiful" you said to the woman with a plastered smile on your face.

"Really? I'm a gorgon, a monster.." Medusa claimed.

"You're not a monster Medusa" you said matter-of-factly.

"I turn people to stone." She said.

"It's not like you can control it, plus they are always the ones to attack first. Sounds to me that they deserve it." You stated.

Medusa chuckled.

"Hey! What's so funny!" You said dramatically.

Medusa smiled and shook her head.

"You're just so cute." Medusa said.

Your face turned red with blush and you looked away shyly.

"W-whatever."

Medusa stood up still smiling.

"Why don't we take a walk?" She asked You.

You looked towards her and nodded, Medusa took your hand and helped you up, then the both of you started walking.

as the two of you walked a small breeze passed making you a bit cold you wrapped your arms around one of Medusa's arms to keep warmth.

"Cold, are you?" The serpent questioned.

"Yeah, aren't you as well?" you asked her.

"I'm cold blooded, I'm used to it" she shrugged.

"Medusa, have you ever been in love?"

Medusa hummed then looked at you.

"No, I haven't... ⁿᵒᵗ ᵘⁿᵗⁱˡ ʳᵉᶜᵉⁿᵗˡʸ" Medusa muttered the last part so that you couldn't hear it.

"Did you say something?" you asked.

"Uh... no, no I didn't" she responded. "We best get back it's getting late..."

you nodded and let Medusa lead the way, soon the two of you arrived back at the temple, Medusa was about to leave the room before you stopped her.

"Medusa... I was wondering..." you started.

the serpent turned back around to face you.

"Yes Y/n?"

"Could I spend the night in your room with you?" you asked.

"With me... are you sure?" Medusa held a light blush.

you nodded quickly while smiling.

"Alright then, this way." The serpent held your hand and led you to her room.

Medusa laid down on the left side and you laid down on the right, you fell asleep quickly and in the middle of the night ended up cuddling next to Medusa.
