jiyoung ✘ chaeryeong
지영 & 채령

✎── jiyoung became friends with all the girls in itzy when she began to choreograph dances for the group, however she found herself getting closer to chaeryeong. she often asked her for ideas in different dances, and before jiyoung became a trainee she would often stay up late with chaeryeong at jyp. she would even go as far as to claim the older as her best friend, with chaeryeong being the first friend she made by herself in korea. she often says that chaeryeong is the person who pushed her to join gp999, and always gives her the motivation and energy to do what she does

jiyoung ✘ liz
지영 & 지원

✎── it didn't take long for liz and jiyoung to become close. like chaeryeong, they became friends when she was helping ive learn the dance for eleven. in jiyoung's opinion, liz was one of the kindest people jiyoung had met, saying she was like a ray of sunshine. they're both massive cat loves, and they're so close liz has even taken jiyoung home to jeju with her to meet her parents and cats. they're trying to make a habit of spending holidays together, as it's quite hard for both of them to visit their family with their schedules

jiyoung ✘ hikaru
지영 & 히카루

✎── hikaru was jiyoung's closest friend on gp999. they were both known for their charisma and dance skills, and together were a formidable duo. when the debut team was announced, hikaru actually said that when the broadcast ended she broke down in tears because she wasn't debuting with jiyoung. she managed to convince wakeone to let her help with some of their choreographies, even if meant most of the time they were just giggling. jiyoung was the person who helped hikaru learn korean, and in return the younger helped improve jiyoung's japanese, even though she's pretty much fluent

yuyoung (유영)

jiyoung ✘ yujin
지영 & 유진

✎── like most of her idol friends, jiyoung became friends with yujin when she choreographed eleven. out of all of jiyoung's friends, yujin is by far the person who loves obi the most. jiyoung's dog would always come to dance practices with her, and it became quite hard to get yujin away from him, so at one point ive's manager had to give yujin an obi ban, and jiyoung loves telling the story to expose yujin. as jiyoung was an iz*one fan, she says that she treasures her friendship with yujin, as the group was one of the reasons jiyoung didn't go back home after her move to korea, because she found comfort in their content and music (yujin loves teasing her for it)
