✎── when i tell jiyoung nearly died after she found out hoshi was her cousin, i mean it. she found out when visiting her dads family while on holiday in 2016, and nearly screamed after seeing him in the living room. they talked, and jiyoung soon found herself enjoying talking to hoshi whenever she visited family. when she moved to south korea in 2018 hoshi became the person to look after her. he also helped her join pledis as well as become a choreographer

jiyoung ✘ taehyun
지영 & 태현

✎── taehyun and jiyoung became friends after running into each other in hybe. because of her career before becoming a trainee, jiyoung was given permission to use the practice rooms used by idols under the company, so someone was bound to walk in on her. taehyun was the first to do so, only a few days after she joined the company, and they quickly became close. they would often explore the hybe building together along with the area around it, and at one point they even had a dating scandal. to this day people still believe they're dating, especially after the game caterers, where taehyun and jiyoung kept teasing each other

jiyoung ✘ keita
지영 & 케이타

✎── what a lot of people don't know is that when jiyoung lived in japan, she was actually neighbors with keita.  jiyoung's older sister used to babysit keita and his siblings, and because there was only a year between them the pair would always walk to school together. it was keita who got her into kpop and dancing, and they would often put on shows for their families. she moved back to south africa around the same time keita moved to south korea to become a trainee, and because of the older's busy schedule and the time difference their contact became less frequent, however when jiyoung moved to south korea he was the first person she told. people found out they were friends when jiyoung posted a picture from when they were ten in support of him on boys planet

jiyoung ✘ jake
지영 & 제이크

✎── when jiyoung became a trainee in hybe, one of the first groups she helped with choreography within the label was enhypen. through working with the group she became close with the members, however as a fellow english speaking idol they spoke a lot more outside of work. jake helped jiyoung with her korean, and in turn she helped him learn japanese so he could make ni-ki more comfortable. jake also quickly became one of obi's favourite people, and whenever they were in the building at the same time jake would force her to visit them so he could play with her dog
