CELESTIAS POV:
ANOTHER DAY ON THE ARK, another day of repeating the same exact cycle. My mother and father trained me, to learn how to steal, fight, and kill, so my days were always eventful.
I still remember the day I 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 my first victim. I was twelve. My mother got floated after she got caught stealing a bunch of medication, for herself, so she could survive.
We didn't have a lot of money, in which means we were poor, we had to steal almost everyday to feed ourselves, provide clothes and necessities for our family.
***FLASHBACK
"Remember what I taught you Celeste.." My father looked at me, sliding me a switchblade. "For mom." I said, quietly. I wasn't prepared for the events that were about to unfold, but I knew, I knew I had to avenge my mother.
This was the right thing to do right?
"For mom.." he repeated my words, smiling down at me, ushering me to go on as he walked off, watching from a distance.
I walked up to a guard, the guard who snitched on my mother. Tugging on his sleeve, the man looked down at me, bending over to my level.
"Hey little girl, is everything alright?" He asked, I shook my head and that's when the waterworks hit.
"I lost my daddy, i- I don't know where he went." I sniffled, letting tears stream down my face. The gaurd grabbed my hand and took me to a separate room to "talk"
He asked me the basic questions, where were my whereabouts when I last was with my father, where I lived, yadi yadi yada. I mainly cried and whined through it all. The gaurd seemingly getting frustrated, he pinched the bridge of his nose and turned the opposite direction if me. That's when it happened.
I run over to the man and sliced his ankle, causing him to fall to his knees in pain. "What is wrong with you??" He hissed grabbing his ankle. "I don't want to hurt you little girl, put the knife down-"
"You got my mom floated!" I yell, looking down at him. "You're the reason she's dead! She stole those medications to live!" Real tears were falling down my cheek.
"I- I'm sorry, I had to, it's the law!" He began, before he could speak again, I cut him off. "What if you were her? What if you had to provide for a family with no extra money to afford medication?" I spat in his face, "She was my mom, and you took her away from me!" My voice cracked.
He was speechless, he didn't know what to say, or do, he slowly started to get up. I kicked him down, causing him to grunt with a thud to the ground.
"Go to hell." My face red, my eyes puffy, I take the knife and stabbed him in his stomach, continuously, thirteen times, he began to choke on his own blood.
"P-please, I have a wife- a kid, don't do this-" his eyes were filled with tears, blood poured out of his mouth. I looked at him, no pity in my eyes.
"That's what my mom said when you floated her. Stupid cunt." I grab the blade and slit his throat, he gurgled until his body went limp, there he laid, in a pool of red beneath me.
I fell to the floor, bawling my eyes out as my dad ran into the room, comforting my shaking figure. "It's okay, I'm so proud of you." This wasn't comfort, this isn't how you raise a child, but I was young and naive I didn't know right from wrong.

A COUPLE YEARS LATER, I was about fourteen, I was walking around the corridors, passing citizens, casually pickpocketing their belongings,
I walked, looking through a person's wallet, pulling a piece of gum from a pocket, throwing it in my mouth as I continue to search through the pockets. I run into someone.
"I'm sorry-" I started, looking at the person. He was tall, dark haired, had freckles, he was wearing a guards uniform, checking out his uniform, he didn't have everything a actual guard had, had me thinking he wasn't an actual guard, but a guard in training.
"You should really watch where you're going." He has the smallest smirk on his face, it fell when he saw the open wallet in my hands. "Is that your wallet?" He asked, his eyes trained on me as I smiled. "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, what are you going to do? Arrest me?"
"I mean, I could." His smirk appeared again, I took the wallet and closed it. "Well for the sake of this, it is my wallet." I tucked it in my back pocket. The boy chuckled. "Bellamy Blake." He stuck out his hand. I looked at his gesture.
"Blake? Huh, is your mom's name Aurora?" I asked, his eyebrows furrowed, nodding his head. "Yeah?"
"My mom was friends with your mom, they used to work together." Now that I noticed, he did look like her, a lot.
"What do you mean was?" He asked. I lowered my head, looking at my shoes. "My mom got floated." It was silent after that, until he spoke up.
"I'm sorry." Bellamy placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. I muttered a smalls thanks. I then saw two boys running up to me in the corner of my eye, they came to a halt beside me.
I turned to look at them. It was Monty and Jasper, they were my best friends.
"Celeste! You will never guess what we scored-" Jasper ended his sentence when they saw who was Infront of me. Monty forced out a fake cough, covering his mouth with his fist. Jasper sticking the unknown baggy into his back pocket.
"Hey Jas, Mon." I send a smile to them, turning my attention back to the Blake boy in front of me. "It was really nice meeting you Blake, but I got to go." I say starting to walk backwards as I stare at the older boy. "Oh and that wallet thing, let's keep that our little secret." I turn around and walk away with Monty and Jasper, leaving Bellamy still in his tracks.
