Five years have passed since Ursul seized control of Atlantica, becoming the new king of the seven seas and claiming Ariel as his queen by force, despite her heart belonging to Prince Eric.

Prince Eric never lost hope in searching for Ariel, vowing to do everything possible to find her in the depths of the ocean.

Caught in a fierce storm, Eric's ship wrecked, and just as he thought his fate was sealed, a miracle occurred. A woman wielding a silver trident appeared, using its magic to transform him into a merman, granting him the ability to shift between fins and legs, as well as breathe underwater.

When he saw his reflection, he was astonished to find himself as a merman with a blue fin where his legs used to be. The woman before him was none other than Queen Elene, the ruler of Atlantia.

After sharing his story, Eric learned from her about Ariel's fate and the devastation Ursul had wrought upon the kingdom. Furious at what Ursul had done to Ariel and the child she bore him, Eric was determined to confront Ursul and make him pay. However, Queen Elene suggested they bide their time and gather their closest allies from across the seas to devise a plan.

As she led Eric to her kingdom, he was struck by its beauty and the peace enjoyed by its merfolk. Eager to master swimming and combat skills, he wanted to do whatever it took to win back the woman he loved.

Five years flew by, and during that time, Ariel gave birth to Ursul's child, a son named Ursul Jr. Although named after his father, the boy was the exact opposite of Ursul—kind-hearted, gentle, brave, intelligent, and helpful. Ariel beamed with pride over her son, while Ursul was dismayed, wishing for him to embrace darkness and power. But Ursul Jr. rejected his father's wishes, embodying the goodness of his mother instead.

Unbeknownst to Ursul, Ursul Jr. possessed the ability to communicate with Poseidon, his great-grandfather and the former king of the sea. Poseidon mentored him in both dark and light magic, recounting the true history of Atlantica before Ursul's rise to power. He revealed how Ursul had deceived Ariel into leaving Prince Eric and had also eliminated King Triton, Ursul's grandfather.

Feeling a mix of sadness and responsibility for these events, Ursul Jr. was comforted by Ariel and Poseidon, who reassured him that he was not to blame. Grateful for the love of his mother and the guidance of Poseidon, he found strength in their support.

Ariel, aware of his potential, expressed her pride in him, hopeful for the man he would one day become—a rightful king of the seven seas. While she loved her son deeply, her feelings for her husband were nonexistent. Ursul had taken everything from her, including her father's life and her chance at love with Prince Eric, claiming her for himself against her will. He still held her tightly with his tentacles, even after they wed a year later, when she discovered she was expecting again. Ursul delighted in the prospect of passing on his legacy, believing his next heir would continue his reign of darkness.

However, unbeknownst to all of Atlantica, a certain sea queen observed them from the shadows, particularly focusing on Ursul Jr. Returning to her kingdom of Atlantia, she gathered merfolk from all seven kingdoms, excluding Ursul, to discuss his many transgressions. They agreed that Ursul Jr. should be brought to Atlantia to learn the histories and magic necessary to thwart Ursul and restore light to the sea and shore alike.

Yet, they would have to wait until Ursul Jr. came of age.
