Chapter Six

Akemi's POV

Nakarating na kami sa Intel department at umakyat kami sa hagdan patungo sa office ni dad. Pero bigla na lang ako nalilito nang lumiko ang dalawang estudyante sa ibang corner, a corner away from the office.  

"Diba dito yung President's office?" tanong ko sa dalawang esudyante habang tinuro ko yung corner na pumapatungo sa office ni Dad.

"The President wants to speak with you somewhere private"

Napasimangot ako. "Oh, I see..."

We kept on walking until we reach a mysterious looking door that was at the edge of the hallway that I haven't tread upon.

"The President is inside, waiting for you"

Hindi ko alam bakit, pero masama ang kutob ko dito. Parang may mali. My senses were screaming danger.

I supressed my uneasiness at binuksan ko ang pinto ng kwartong tinutukoy nilang Private room. Pero nung hinawakan ko yung doorknob, naramdaman ko yun- the bad aura radiating from the room. Pero huli na noong marealize ko yon.

Bigla ko na lang naramdaman na may tumulak sa akin ng malakas at nahulog ako sa loob ng kwarto. Mabilis na sumara ang pinto sa pagpasok ko. Once it did, doon ko narealize na madilim pala yung kwarto.

'Ang tanga mo Akemi. Bakit ba kasi hindi mo pinakinggan si Hiro' I mentally scolded myself.

Halos hindi ko makita ang sarili ko but I know I'm stepping on a solid floor. I could feel my fear trying to surface but I try to suppress it. Linibot ko ang tingin  sa paligid pero hindi ito nakatulong.

It's like I'm being wrapped in darkness.

I tried to stand up when I suddenly felt something hard hit my side. Halos mawalan ako ng hangin dahil nun.  Napaluhod ako sa sahig dahil sa tindi ng sakit na naramdaman ko. Pinalo ako ng parang cylindrical metal object and it was painful. I tried to use my sixth sense but I suddenly felt a burning sensation.

"Hindi tatalab yan dito" a girl's voice said "This place is called Oshioki Heya or also known as the punishment room. This is where the misbehaving senshins or captured shinigamis are put for disciplinary actions"

"W-who are you? Why are you doing this?" I managed to ask but the voice just viciously laugh at my display of weakness.

I flinched when I heard a sudden noise. Mga yapak ito ng paa. Wala akong makita at hindi gumagana yung sixth sense ko dito.

Isa nanamang bagay ang tumama sa akin. And this time, sa likod ko naman. Halos naman akong napahiga sa sahig dahil sa impact.

Nagtawanan ang ilan na mga boses sa paligid ko. Ilan ba sila? Bakit parang ang dami nila?

"For a President's daughter, you sure are weak" a voice hissed and I shuddered at the coldness.

"I don't even know why you were in the Atama family in the first place. You're so weak. You're not even deserving to be in that family" 

"Also, having a half-breed? Such a disgrace. You don't even belong here" a voice sneered and a hand roughly pulled my hair making me jerk backwards.
