Chapter Fifteen

Annie drove back to the hotel and skillfully avoided the girls and paps that had gathered around the building. When fans saw them together many of them looked smug, knowing their suspicions of Annie and Niall's relationship had been confirmed despite the attempts of anal retentive assholes.

Niall took her into Harry and Louis' room where the rest of the guys were hanging out playing Fifa. Annie held up the boxes of food and they mugged her for it, Louis giving her a kiss on the cheek before stealing a box for himself. Sitting on Harry's bed, they held hands quietly, living in a small bubble of their own as they watched Zayn and Harry play against each other. Annie gave Niall's neck a quick peck and put her head on his shoulder as they watched the game of animated people the boys controlled unfold on the screen.

Everything seemed completely normal, uncharacteristically so. The fact that Annie had just beat the shit out of three grown men was completely lost in Annie's mind, forgotten during the ride home. While it was still playing through Niall's mind over and over again. She looked so fierce as she held the man up against the wall, ready to punch his lights out. He didn't know whether to be turned on, scared, or disappointed. God she looked so hot standing there in all of her strength radiating out of her, it reminded him of when he first started watching her fights and how turned on he had gotten. But he was also scared she could do that much damage, she was bound to get herself hurt one day from doing things like that. She was going to take on a group too large, to formidable and too strong. The thought of her losing a fight terrified him and he pushed the thought away before he freaked out. And then there was the disappointment in realizing that Annie didn't need him to protect her. Even in the frail state that she was clearly in, she could take on three grown men. What did she need him for? He felt like he was useless. He couldn't help but lean over and kiss her, assuring himself that she needed him for that at least.

"Hey! No making any babies on my bed!" Harry yelled over his shoulder and winked at Annie past the curls that hung slightly over his eyes. Annie smiled and rolled her eyes at him.

"What are you talking about Harold?" Niall asked, innocently and out of nowhere grabbed Annie and straddled her on Harry's bed. The two of them laughed hysterically and Harry got up and pushed them off the bed. Annie's face was bright red at the extremely public display of affection and she couldn't hide it.

"You better watch out Harry. Annie just beat the crap out of three guys not even an hour ago," Liam warned with a teasing voice.

"How do you know about that?" Annie demanded and snapped her head in his direction.

"I, unlike some people, have a twitter," Liam said, "and you're a trending topic, Love. We can't sneeze without Directioners knowing about it. And there are pictures." All of the guys gathered around Liam's laptop to see.

"Nice!" they exclaimed and gave Annie high-fives as Niall explained the story. They went back to their game and Niall and Annie sat on the floor leaning against Louis' bed.

"Truly, Annie, I'm really glad you're ok, I have been worrying about you," Niall said quietly to her and rubbed her thin thigh with his large hand.

"I know, I know," Annie whispered and gave him a kiss on his scarred knuckles. Niall circled Annie's body with his arms and pulled her close, putting his lips to her head and closing his eyes, taking in the moment and holding her tight.

"Awe, isn't that cute everybody?" Liam asked his computer. Annie looked up with anger; Liam was doing one of those twitcam things and just showed thousands of people Annie kissing Niall. Rage flashed through her entire body and she was now getting beyond annoyed by the boy's many attempts to thwart their management's plans of covering up Niall's relationship with Annie. If there was a line, they had definitely crossed it by now.
