School went by nicely. Still throughout the breaks I would see her still staring at me. It is painfully obvious but I think that is the point. Lucky for her she is my age and we do share the last lesson which is English. Thankfully when in class she isn't staring. The time came and the teacher walked in and started the lesson.
"Today you will have to work in groups and no you will not be able to assemble them yourselves, I already had picked them out." Once he got all the names of the students and their groups, we sat down according to that, I wasn't in a group with the girl. The lesson finished. As I was trying to walk out of the class, the girl walked in front of me and said that we should meet in the girl's bathroom that was across the hallway. We walked into the bathroom at different times to make it not obvious we both had to go there at the same time.
She was there first, looking at her phone. Once I got in, she noticed me.
"You were at the halloween party?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"I know you and Samuel are dating. He told some of us. Lets just say something happened at the party and I have evidence for you." My heart started to beat faster, I don't like this at all. She showed me her phone. Photo of clearly two people kissing, one was a girl I cannot make out and the other person, a guy is none other than Samuel. Tears started to build in my eyes.
"I am sorry you had to find out this way. I never thought he would do that. I don't know the story behind this, so I can't comment on what I saw. I am not jealous of your both relationship, I've ever only seen him as a friend."
I had to turn around and process a bit.
"C-can you... uh... send me the photo."
"You sure?"
"Y-yes." I got a notification after a minute, she send the photo to me, I had proof. Now I had to confront him somehow.
"Look. If things get bad, you can talk to me, I am not evil, just popular and he is my friend and I do not like this behavior, I can be another friend, who well knows him a bit more than other people." With that she left the bathroom. I went into one of the stalls to cry a bit. Later after I calm down somehow managed to go back home with the bus and walk. Once home I closed the outside door and broke down. Aunt was home, I knew that, just in the office. I think she heard me and walked down, saw me, ran up to me and hugged me.
"Everything will be ok, darling." She muttered more soothing words to my ear while caressing my back. Once the breakdown was over, I told her about him and the situation, even showed the photo.
"I think you really need to talk to him. It might be just a misconception but seems like it kind of isn't. He might have been drunk and wasn't thinking clearly." I promised to talk to him. I walked to my room and immediately send the photo to our friend group chat and told the girls.
Leonor: I am definitely killing him tomorrow!
Bernadette: You don't even know what really happened between the two.
Leonor: Does the photo not explain things?
Bernadette: No it does not. He could have been drunk or something.
Camila: Funny, aunt said the same thing.
Bernadette: Talk to him tomorrow, maybe even hang out with him after school like you two tend to do.
Camila: I think I will do that. Maybe even a date? Or too much?
Leonor: Perfect.
Bernadette: If you think it will be a good idea, I am here for you.
