Chapter 5

That morning Jin didn't wake up too late because the alarm kept ringing, he snoozed 5 times so he wouldn't fall back asleep. He was so sleepy, he did his homework till the end and he saw Jungkook's message when he woke up.

Jin got ready and thought maybe Jungkook was still sleeping because he must be exhausted and stayed up late. But another message came to Jin's phone.

From Jungkook: I will arrive in 5 minutes

Jin was wide-eyed, it was still 7 am, and there was still an hour before the bell rang. Jin rushed to tidy up his book and came out of his room, he saw that his aunt had not woken up yet, that was what happened every day, so there was no breakfast on the table every morning.

Jin waited for Jungkook in front of his house until a black luxury car pulled up in front of him and when the windows rolled down, Jin was surprised because it was Jungkook.

"Come on, you don't want us to be late right?" Jungkook said and Jin got in his car and fastened his seat belt.

"This is your car?" Jin said.

"Of course not, it's my dad's, but he never used it so I do," Jungkook said.

"But, how can you drive it, you don't have a license right?" Jin said and Jungkook just smiled before grabbing something from the backseat.

"What do you want to take? Let me help you," Jin said.

"Oh yeah, there, take the lunch box," Jungkook said and Jin took it.

"What's this?" Jin said.

"Our breakfast, I made a sandwich, actually I asked my maid to make it and I brought milk for both of us, open it and feed me," Jungkook said and they were ready to go to school.

"Eat, why don't you eat it?" Jungkook said.

"You did all this for me?" Jin said and Jungkook just smiled.

"Eat first then we can talk, I'm hungry," Jungkook said and Jin fed Jungkook a piece of bread.

"Your turn, eat," Jungkook said and Jin took a bite of the other side of his sandwich.

After they finished their breakfast, Jin turned back to Jungkook who was focused on driving.

"Now answer my question, did you do all this for me?" Jin said.

"Yeah, this is all for you," Jungkook said.

"Why? Did you do this to all your friends?" Jin said and their car stopped at a red light before Jungkook turned to look at Jin.

"How should I tell you? To be honest, I've never dared to tell the truth because I feel like maybe I'm the only one who feels it," Jungkook said.

"About what?" Jin said.

"Has all this time I've done just felt like a friend to you?" Jungkook said.

"What do you mean?" Jin said.

"I'm doing all this because... because I like you Jin, I know you only see me as a friend, and it's okay, it's fine for me, I just want us to stay this close and don't be awkward after I say this because I'm happy to be around you," Jungkook said and Jin was silenced by him.

"Jin, at least say something, you can divert the conversation if you don't like the discussion," Jungkook said.

"You said you like me?" Jin said.

"Hmm," Jungkook nodded.

"Why?" Jin said.

"I'm after you because I know you won't throw me away," Jungkook said and those words made Jin speechless, he just stared at Jungkook without a word.

"I know this sounds weird and doesn't make sense, but the first time I got to know you, and found out how you were, talking to you made me feel comfortable and felt you could accept me for who I am," Jungkook said.

"Hm, forget it Jin, pretend you never heard that ridiculous words from me," Jungkook turned his head back to the front and waited for the traffic light to turn green with his finger tapping the steering wheel as if to show his nervousness.

"Jungkook," Jin said and Jungkook turned to Jin.

"Hmm?"

"Then I'll take good care of you," Jin said.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Jungkook said.

"I think anyone who rejects you after what you did to them is the stupidest person, and I don't want to be that idiot," Jin said.

"J-Jin, wait, what is the meaning of this? You... you accept me? I mean, you-"

"I like you too," Jin said and Jungkook's eyes widened with his mouth open and his hand covering it.

"I...I still can't believe it, is this real? You said you liked me?" Jungkook said and Jin nodded with a smile on his face before a horn sounded and Jin saw the light turn green.

"Jungkook, let's go," Jin pointed at the traffic light and Jungkook happily went to school.
