This is only half of this chapter. But I know it's been so long since i have updated, so here is some! Sorry!
“You did what to her? Do you even understand how not all right that is? I swear; I ought to never speak to you again. No. Worse. I should ban you from stepping foot on our property!” A loud, angry sounding female voice shrieks.
“It’s not like I had any other choice, okay? She wouldn’t relax… and the portal wouldn’t open until she did. So cool it, she’s fine.” Jones? Is that him?
“You can’t just knock our daughter out! I should give you a taste of your own medicine. How about that? Eh?” The female voice booms, loud and abrupt footsteps make it clear to me that she is pacing back and forth.
Daughter?
Knock out?
“Ouch! What the fuc-“ Jones screams out in pain. My eyes abruptly open in response.
“I thought that I would do the honors. Can’t have Ariel here get at you, she would do more damage then I did, with a pan.” This third voice is new. A man, no doubt.
I take a look at my surroundings, incredibly fuzzyheaded and confused. I’m in a large living room area. Dimly lit, with a lamp on in the far right corner. Bookshelves surround the three walls, which are painted mahogany. A fireplace roars across the room from me, and I welcome it’s warmth. I’m tucked into a beige blanket – which is actually quite cozy, and rested on a brown leather couch. But how? The last thing I remember is being scared out of my wits, in that dark ‘room’. And then…
CLANK!
“Common! You didn’t have to hit me again, Nev. I get it! I’m sorry!” Jones’ irritated voice quickly follows after the loud noise.
Wait a minute.
That noise is similar to the one I heard just before…
Just before nothing. I can’t remember anything after that noise. And then it clicks. Jones and those other people were talking about someone getting knocked out… someone’s daughter… a portal…
I’m dreaming, and I’ve come to Wonderland.
Is my mother here? The voice didn’t sound like hers… but why would she call me her daughter then? And why the hell did that asshole have to knock me out? My head is throbbing, and I’ve probably got a big purple bruise on my head to top it all off.
Slowly, I unwrap myself from the cozy blanket, and sit up. I’m instantly met with a dizzying array of circling stars, (yes, just like in the cartoons), and shut my eyes quickly to regain my strength. Opening my eyes, I feel much better already. One foot after the other, I place them on the firm hardwood floor. And then I’m up, my dizzy spell taking a hike.
