The young girl’s peach blossom eyes shimmered. Her voice was soft and sweet. Qin Chu was aware that the little girl was also good-looking. However, he zoned out upon seeing her even though he was fed up with her.
Then she saw the little girl wearing a brilliant smile and shouted sweetly to Madam Qin, “Auntie.”
“Mo Mo knows that you have always doted on Mo Mo since I was little.”

As they spoke, Madam Qin’s expression became warm again.
Qin Chu, who was ignored at the side, was baffled by Xiang Yi Mo’s surprising words at first, and he felt frustrated for no reason.

[1] 强扭的瓜不甜(qiǎngniǔdeguābùtián)- If one has to use force to break a melon off the vine, it won’t taste sweet (because it’s only when the melon is ripe that it can be removed with just a slight twist). It means that if something is not meant to be, there is no use trying to force it to happen.
[2] 欲擒故纵(yùqíngùzòng)- To loosen the reins only to grasp them better./Leave somebody at large so that it is better to apprehend him. It means to deliberately make one person relax and make him lower his guard before having better control of him.
