Stepped In

CHAPTER FOUR

"We're here". Naruto announced stopping in front of the bar he was all to familiar with.

"A bar?!". Kiba shouted reading the sign on top of the building.

"Yeah". Naruto ignored the panicked look on the brunette and walked in.

Hinata walked in behind Naruto not wanting to loose him. She had a lot of stories about a bar and not good ones.

She had been to a bar only once and only because of the circumstances. Kiba also followed in reluctantly.

"Hey guys". Naruto greeted his friends taking a seat beside on the bench Sakura and Ino were sitting.

Today unlike other days the chairs where they usually sit was not full.

Temari and Shikamaru had gone for the monthly check up and Sasuke was working late today.

"Hinata what's up, who's the girlfriend". Ino greeted while Hinata sat down beside Sai and some guy she didn't know.

He was chubby compared to the others. He had spiral marks drawn on his cheeks and long light brown hair.

He smiled at her and she returned it then turned to face Sakura.

"Girlfriend?". Kiba asked looking at the blonde who referred to him as Hinata's girlfriend.

"She just insulted you don't pay any attention to it, I'm Sakura nice to meet you".

"Kiba Inuzuka, a friend of Hinata's". "A friend of Hinata". Sakura repeated looking at Naruto when she emphasised the friend.

Naruto rolled his eyes and picked up the water that was on the table.

"So Kiba tell us something about yourself, anything going on in your life". Ino asked placing both hands on the table and looking at Kiba. He didn't know why but this somewhat felt like an interrogation.

His pupils moved upwards looking at the ceiling remembering the most recent thing that happened to him. "Well, I recently just got a girlfriend".

Naruto choked on the water he was drinking. "Girlfriend". Both females looked at Naruto who was still choking on his water.

"You must be Hinata, I'm Choji". "Hinata". "I know, Ino wouldn't shut up about you ever since I came back".

"Came back?". "Yeah, I went to visit girlfriend". "Oh, are you still single Naruto?"

Hinata regretted what she said immediately placing her hand over her mouth.

They all looked at Hinata and silence engulfed the table.

"Naruto's pretty lame". Sai said stopping what was about to come out of the blond's mouth.

Naruto looked at Sai with a death glare. "You're also single Sai".

"That's what you all think but I actually have a girlfriend, her name is Ino Yamanaka and I'm in love with her".

Apart from Kiba and Hinata everyone else sighed because of Sai's confession.

"I'm sorry to say this Sai but if for some abnormal reason we we're dating then consider yourself dumped cause I have a knew gut my life. It was fun while it lasted but I don't when it started".

"A new guy in your life, I thought you already gave up on guys". Choji looked at Ino then Sakura expecting her to tell Ino to give up on this guy or something.

Sakura simply shrugged her shoulders and looked away.

"You guys have got to be the weirdest people I have ever met". Kiba said smiling amused by everything that has happened since he entered.
