The rays of sunlight lit up Dazai's cozy home. Shining in Chuuya's face, he awakened. Chuuya pondered to himself,

Wow, I would have never thought Dazai liked so much sun in his house.

Through Dazai's eyelids, he could see the sun and slowly adjusted his eyes to the daylight. He rubbed his eyes and reluctantly got up, making his way to the kitchen counter. Once Dazai arrived at the kitchen, he sat down on one of the chairs beside his island. Chuuya later got up, stretching to keep his muscles intact. He then got up, starting his morning by getting ready. After changing his attire, he then walked downstairs to see Dazai seated on the island.

"Are you just going to sit there and contemplate your shitty life?" Chuuya stated.

"It's only 8 A.M. and you're already this grumpy." Dazai said while drinking a glass of orange juice.

Chuuya decided not to respond to him and went to the fridge, taking out the ingredients. He grabbed eggs, spinach, and cheese to make an omelet. After placing those items on the counter he opened the cabinet to grab a pan, turning on the stove. Chuuya sprayed some oil onto the pan, letting the oil simmer. He then cracked eggs, and spinach, whisking them in a bowl. Once the pan was heated, Chuuya poured the egg mixture onto the pan. While pouring his concoction, the egg sizzled in the pan. The cheese was then placed into the omelet, creating the finishing touches. He then put it onto a plate, grabbing some cutlery from a drawer.

"Foods ready." Chuuya said half asleep, grabbing himself a mug for his coffee.

"Wow, you're sharing?" Dazai teased, staring at the food.

"And you're one to talk." Chuuya grimly stated.

"I mean, I'm not complaining." Dazai said while raising his hands. The two delightfully ate their scrumptious meal in peace after that. After placing their dishes and utensils in the sink, Dazai decided to wash them to thank Chuuya for the meal. Dazai had to get ready for work, combing his hair and brushing his teeth. He then looked in the mirror, admiring himself.

"Oh god, I'm beautiful!" Dazai cheerfully stated. Chuuya walked in behind him, simply just watching Dazai marvel at himself.

"What are you plotting this time?" Chuuya snarked.

"Nothing, no need to accuse me, Chuuya. I'm just getting ready, that's all." Dazai looked behind him to face Chuuya, smiling at him.

"Alright then." Chuuya replied in a joyous tone.

"It seems like someone is in a good mood now." Dazai looked pleased at hearing Chuuya's lighthearted tone.

"Yeah, yeah." Chuuya grumbled while heading out of the room.

"But I was being serious.." Dazai mumbled before following Chuuya out. "Anywho, don't you have work too? Or do you still do night shifts?"

"Oh yeah, let me look at my schedule. Nope, no work today." Chuuya responded.

"Really? I guess you got less busy then, I remember your schedule used to be jam-packed." Dazai said while putting on his coat, getting ready to leave.

"Yup, the boss has been giving me kids' stuff." Chuuya said with a smug tone.

"That's nice to hear. Well, I'm leaving now, have fun on your day off." Dazai waved goodbye, opening the door slowly. Chuuya turned on the speaker and played groovy tunes. He danced to the melody while singing the chorus. Later, he slumped on the couch, clearly bored of having no one to talk to. Spotting the large mannequin, Chuuya got up and walked toward it.

Why the fuck does Dazai have a mannequin in his house? That's so random... It sure does look punchable though, almost as punchable as Dazai's face.

Chuuya then harshly punched the mannequin, imagining it was Dazai, leading it to fall on the floor with an audible thump.

Well, this is a way to release my anger. I wonder what else I could do while Dazai's gone...

After thinking, he was led to the conclusion of cooking some steak that he had bought before this. While cooking his steak, Chuuya felt an unsettling feeling in his stomach. He'd stop to lean on the counter, letting the butter in the pan seethe.

Do I hate Dazai...?

Chuuya would be in utter confusion about what he felt for Dazai, unaware of what to think of him now.

I wonder when Dazai will be back... I don't know why, but I long for him.

A few hours had passed so quickly as Chuuya had filled his day with mindless activities. Dazai soon came back, watching Chuuya all sprawled out on the couch, evidently thinking of something.

Oh, I have just the idea! I'll paint an adorable little puppy!

"What are you thinking about, Chuuya?" Dazai said, leaning over him.

"What I'm thinking is none of your business," Chuuya stated while getting up from the sofa.

"Well, it's my business if you're living in my house." Dazai teased, trailing behind Chuuya. Chuuya ignored him, searching for tubes of paint and a canvas. "What are you looking for, Chuuya?"

"Who says I'm looking for anything?" Chuuya replied as he continued looking.

"Would you be looking around everywhere if you weren't looking for something?" Dazai peered over him, trying to find out what he was looking for.

"Okay fine, do you happen to have some paint and a canvas?" Chuuya stepped back from Dazai, facing him.

"I do happen to have those things." Dazai knelt on the floor, digging through a drawer before taking out the supplies and tossing them on his bed.

"Appreciate it." Chuuya spoke with a kind smile. Dazai nodded as he got up, handing the materials to Chuuya. "Wait, Dazai, do you want to paint as well?"

"I'm surprised you're asking me to join you, but sure!" Dazai responded in a cheerful voice. The two sat on his bed, beginning to cover the canvases in a smooth coat of water. Dazai screwed off the lid of the paint tubes, placing the colors on a pallet. Using his grimy fingers, Dazai fingerpainted with all the colors of the rainbow.

"Do you not have any paintbrushes, Dazai?" Chuuya would stare at Dazai in a dazed state, watching him paint with his fingers.

"Yeah, I have paint brushes, but it's amusing to fingerpaint and watch your anger grow." Dazai snickered to himself, thinking of what he was going to say next. "You know Chuuya, your paintbrush would be really good up my ass, and I mean more than one." Dazai said while smirking.

Chuuya would pause from painting, a bit astonished by what Dazai had just said to him. In pure shock, the paintbrush would slip from his fingers, falling to the floor. Dazai went onto the floor to grab the paintbrush, handing it to Chuuya with a grin on his face.
