"What do you mean we are still mates?" I question.
"I just couldn't end it." He says, and I scoff.
"No wonder I feel no pain." I whisper.
I chuckle to myself, before placing my hands onto my hips and pacing back and forth. We are still mates, Jungkook didn't finish it through, but why?
No I didn't care.
I should not care. He doesn't want me, he doesn't love me, he didn't even want to give me a chance. I will not care.
"I don- what do you want me to do with this information?" I ask, and we both share a nervous glance before I take a deep breath.
"You have to go." I say.
"No." He says, firmly.
"You have a pack to run, and you're wasting time by standing here telling me pointless information." I say.
"Us being mates is pointless?!" He snaps.
"IT WAS ALWAYS POINTLESS. You never was going— to choose me." I snap, trying to fight the tears.
"I—.."
The room falls quiet with contemplation from the both of us, trying to piece together the shattered pieces of our relationship with some desperation. I have never seen an Alpha this way, so vulnerable and open. By nature, they're inclined to keep their emotions reserved and at bay, and I have no explanation on why he did what he did and why he felt the need to tell me if it was not going to be no changes, but nonetheless he's opened up to me about this, and that in itself is an hiccup that may never pass.
"I don't understand why you didn't end it." I finally say.
"I don't want to, I can't... I can't just end this." He says, walking closer towards me.
"So I'm supposed to be connected to you forever? Do you know how selfish this sounds..." I say.
"I can't lose you Miona. I can't end the bond... at least not now." He admits.
"How can you do this to me?" I cry.
"We were friends, we had such a beautiful bond.... Now you're choosing to keep in a place where I can never fully love because I'm tied to you." I choke.
"Miona?" Hayden calls out, and my eyes widen as I hear his voice.
"You must go." I whisper.
"Not without you returning to where you belong." He demands.
"I belong nowhere. I'm a doomed wolf." I tell him, attempting to walk away but he grabs my hand.
"I'll demand you, don't make me do that. You're still my mate which means you're apart of the pack... your wolf will submit." He says, and I roll my eyes.
"So now you're forcing me back?! You ought to be ridiculous." I snap, pushing him away as I walk into my bedroom.

"Hayden?!" I say, rushing towards his side.
"I was knocked out?!" He questions.
"Turns out those wolves weren't friendly after all." I let out a nervous chuckle.
