Chapter 17: Drop The Bass

In the battle between two Bass players, Y/N watch them both hoping her brother is okay. Tate wrap his arm around her to make sure nothing bad happens to her.

Todd's bass technique was so powerful (thanks to his powers), that his last string made Scott being thrown to multiple walls to the coffee stand.

"Scott!" Y/N gets out of Tate's arm to run towards her brother to check his injury. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Y/N, just play along with me." Scott whisper in her ear reach his arms to get something, she nodded as they turned their head over to the door to see Todd walk through it.

"You should know I can hear your thoughts, sweetheart." Todd spokes then you hear his voice in your head. 'Your will is broken...you will be mine again soon."

"In your dreams, you manwhore!" Y/N rolled her eyes, groan in disgust while glaring at him.

"Alright you two, let's settle this for a cup of coffee together, you want one?" Scott gets up from the floor, holding two cups of coffee.

"I'm sorry, but that's really pathetic." You two heard Envy walk by out of nowhere.

"Seriously dude, I know I can read your minds eye, putting half and half in that cup. I'll take the soy one." Todd reach his hand out, doing his powers to make one of the cups float out of Scott's hand to his hand.

"Thanks tool." Todd suddenly drinks the coffee then Y/n and Scott look at each other, nodded their head smirking.

"You really are an idiot, you know that?" Y/N asked him crossing her arms as the black smoke suddenly appeared as Tate came out of nowhere stand behind her.

"Yep, I actually put soy in my cup, because I can trick you with my minds eye or whatever that is." Scott explain to him before taking a sip of his coffee.

"What are you talking about?...Wait..." Todd was confused of what is happening until he realized what he did.

"That's right 'Sweetheart'...you drank half and half baby~." Y/N smirk leans in to whisper in Todd's ear.

All of the sudden, we hear the sirens outside then the wall exploded with the police car appeared. Todd drop his coffee to the ground and the vegan police officers has their gun fingers with laser pointing at him.

"Freeze! Vegan Police! Todd Ingram, You're under arrest for vegan violation code, getting half and half!

Todd raised his arms up to defend himself. "What?! This is bullcrap!"

"No vegan diet, no powers for you!"

"Wait, can I at least get a first strike or something?"

"Hit it partner." One of the officers pull out the notebook to start reading.

"On February 1st, 12:47am, you have been eating gelato."

"It's not vegan?"

"It's made of milk and eggs, you moron."

Tate chuckle under his breath seeing Todd's misfortune. "This should be good."

Y/N slap his chest softly, earning a yelp from him. "Shush!"

"On April 4th, 7:30pm, you also been eaten a plate of chicken parmesan."

Envy gasped turning her head to Todd glaring at him, which made him even more nervous now that his secret has been exposed. "Chicken isn't vegan, either?"

"Hit it!" those two vegan officers start shooting their laser guns at Todd, as they immediately drains his powers until he is powerless. Scott and Y/N, the Pilgrim duo, walk in front of Todd, who is devastated about his power being gone.

"No...How can this be?"

"You were once a 'Ve'-Gone...But now you will 'Be' gone..." Scott said which both Y/n and Todd looked at him confused.

"Ve-gone?"

"No offense bro, but that's terrible." Y/N insult his words and gets down on her knees in front of Todd to lift up his chin make him stare in to your eyes.

"Listen to me closely and listen good...I. Will. Never. Love. You."

Then suddenly, she use all of her might to headbutt him so hard that he exploded to bunch of coins. Y/N gets on her feet, rubbing her forehead in pain, but Tate kissed her temple to make it feel better. The vegan officers walk away give each other high five. Scott walks over to Envy slip his hands in his pocket.

"Umm... sorry about that.."

"You're sorry?...You two just headbutt my boyfriend so hard that he burst."

"Well you kicked my heart in the ass, so we're even...Natalie."

"Natalie...That's funny... cause no one calls me that anymore."

"Maybe they should. Let's get out of here." Scott walks out of the building which Ramona waits for him.

"You guys go ahead... I'll catch up." Y/N spoke to them before walking up to Envy, who is confused with Tate behind her.

"Why are you still here? Gonna laugh at me?" Envy glare at her and cross her arms together.

"No...I want to say...I'm sorry for what you've been through...believe me, I do."

"Why are you saying your sorry to me? After what I did to you and your brother..."

"Well, Everyone deserves a second chance and I know you can be a better person than you current are right now."

Those words made her eyes widen shocked and a bit happy that Y/N gives her a chance to be a better person. Y/N and Tate walk away from the building through the broken wall, while Envy... no Natalie watches them well mostly, her watching Y/N. Then, Julie appeared out of nowhere ruining the moment.

"Just for the record, I'm so pissed off for you right now."

"Shut the (Bleep) up, Julie."

"Ok..."

Finally, Natalie made up her mind and decide that she will be a good girl and help others who are in need.
