3 Years Later,

"Calm down AVM, you are making a fuss about it now." She said getting visibly annoyed by her husband's over-protective behaviour.

"I am making a fuss? If that's what you think then let it be." He said continuing his work.

"Ahaan it's just a mild fever and moreover the temperature..." she was about to complete her statement when he spoke in the middle restricting her to do so.

"Oh yes, how can I forget having a 104 fever is just a nominal thing, right missus Ishqi Ahaan Malhotra." He said, glaring at her through his laptop screen.

3 years went by as nothing but bliss for the couple. They started afresh, from scratch to reach where they were today and be the imperfectly, perfect ones for each other. They let them glue their fragmented pieces which were full of scars, not forgetting to heal each other at every step. It was never easy for them, but when did life spoon feed them with happiness either? The past was full of agony, but what they learnt was to not let it affect their present and future and that was how they walked on the path of acceptance and love.

Ahaan always knew how his wife always wanted to be financially independent, and she proved it occasionally when she would not take his help in her expenses. Though he found it extremely irritating in the beginning as he believed being her husband his money was hers too, and that it was his right to spend on her, but she made him understand her point, saying that she has since forever taken care of her expenses, which has always made her feel independent and now if he takes care of it she will feel nothing less than a burden. They did have a good long chat on this topic and came to the conclusion that he will not help her with her daily expenses but whenever he wishes to buy something for her, she wont stop him. This is what crossed his mind days before their first wedding anniversary. She had always aspired to become a fashion designer, her maasi had told him. He also got to know that she was studying for the same but had to quit it midway due to their financial instability

"Ishqi ko apne sapno se bahut lagaav hai. Usne kabhi is baat ka zikr bhi nahi kiya, par main bhi to uski maasi hu pata lag hi jaata tha, ki ussey kitna dukh hota tha apne sapno ko bikharte dekh, jinko pura karne ke liye usne zameen - aasmaan ek kardiye the. Jis din usne yeh faisla liya ki wo apni padhai chhod degi, wo bahut dukhi thi. Toot chuki thi wo. Uski aankhein apni chamak kho chuki thi. Us din sirf ussey uski padhai aur sapne nahi chhine the, uski zindagi ka ek hissa bhi chhin gaya tha."

These were Sudha's exact words which kept ringing in his ears. He wanted her to achieve her dreams, afterall her dreams were now his dreams too and Ahaan Veer Malhotra doesn't let go of his dreams this easily. And that's how he gifted her the most precious gift on their anniversary that she could ever get. A chance to complete her education. A chance to achieve her unfulfilled dreams. And that was exactly what she did. Though Ahaan helped her in entering the most prestigious institution of designing she did the rest of the work herself. She excelled in her studies making him proud. After completing her education, came the main challenge - setting up everything from scratch. Ahaan offered to help her initially, though she was a little hesitant, she knew she had no alternate options, for being new in this field she needed guidance and that's what he provided her with. And that's how a year later, Ishqi Ahaan Malhotra became the talk of the town. She was showered with awards and there was a line of people who wanted to work and collaborate with her, after all who would want to lose such a once in a lifetime, golden opportunity to work with her?

Ahaan's life too was on track now. After Ishqi's recovery she didn't let him stay an extra day at home and asked him to join his office. Even after a lot of pleadings from his side, when she did not seem to budge he agreed because he knew he would be fighting a lost battle if he tried to argue any further. And that's how after a year and a half later he took the command in his hands and sat on the chair which belonged to him ever since. It was that moment that he realised how badly he had missed his work, but did he regret not being there? Not even an ounce because he knew she was prior to anything in the world for him. He was grateful to be here again but feeling guilt or regret was out of question.
