Chapter 4: The Blind Banker: pt. 2

***Recap***

Sherlock (without looking round): I need to go to the bank.

(Sherlock gets up and heads towards the stairs, taking his coat from the hook on the door as he goes. John frowns, then jumps up and hurries to join him. Looking up in time to see the boys leave, Rose grabbed her jacket and followed them out the flat.)

***Now***

(TOWER 42, OLD BROAD STREET. Sherlock leads John and Rose through revolving glass doors which lead into Shad Sanderson Bank. John stares at the impressive foyer as he follows his friend while Rose stayed close to her mate.)

John: Yes, when you said we were going to the bank ...

(He gets onto an escalator behind Sherlock and Rose while the detective observes everything around him, especially the security systems which have to have cards swiped across electronic readers in order to open glass barrier gates. The trio reach the top of the escalator and Sherlock walks over to the reception desk and addresses one of the receptionists.)

Sherlock: Sherlock Holmes.

(A little later the trio have been shown into Sebastian Wilkes' office and now he walks in and grins at Sherlock before his eyes fell onto Rose eyeing her up and down. Seeing Sebastian stare at his mate, Sherlock stepped in his line of sight blocking her from his gaze.)

Sebastian: Sherlock Holmes.

Sherlock: Sebastian.

(They shake hands, Sebastian clasping Sherlock's hand in both of his own.)

Sebastian: Howdy, buddy. How long's it been? Eight years since I last clapped eyes on you?

(Sherlock looks back at him with only marginally disguised dislike. Sebastian turns to look at John.)

Sherlock: This is my friend, John Watson.

Sebastian (latching on to the emphasised word): Friend?

John: Colleague.

Sherlock (putting his arm around Rose's shoulder pulling her close): And my girlfriend, Rose.

Sebastian: Girlfriend?

Rose: Yeah, got a problem with that?

(Her American accent coming out.)

Sebastian: Right.

(Sebastian looking at John curiously while they shake hands.)

Sebastian: Right.

(He throws a brief look at Sherlock as if saying, 'Didn't think you had a friend or a girlfriend!' Grinning unpleasantly, he momentarily scratches his neck and Sherlock's gaze falls on his wristwatch. Sebastian turns away, John pursing his lips as if he has taken an instant dislike to the man; either that or he's regretting correcting Sherlock.  Rose glared at the man wishing to orb him to a volcano.)

Sebastian: Well, grab a pew. D'you need anything? Coffee, water?

(Sherlock shakes his head while Rose ignores him.)
