I shove the book quickly into my bag, I'll look at it more later. I don't want to leave Draco waiting. I ran out of the dorm to find Draco sitting on a couch next to the fireplace.

"What took you so long? The sun will be setting soon!" Draco questioned.

"O-Oh, nothing... I just... couldn't find my sweatshirt..." I lied easily.

He looked at me suspiciously but then shrugged it off. "Alright, let's go then." he said.

Draco showed me all around the grounds, he showed me the Quidditch pitch, the Forbidden Forest, don't worry, we didn't go into there, as it is highly dangerous. He said he learned his lesson by going in there already. He's so brave. He also showed me Hargid's cabin by the forest.

By the time we got back up to the castle it was dark, so we went back to the common room and I told him good night and headed up to the dormitories. He bid me good night as well, and, out of the corner of my eye, I swear I saw him blushing.

I headed up to the dormitory and Briar was there. She gave me a rude glare and then chose to ignore me. I thought we were friends but I guess not anymore.

The next morning Draco was waiting for me so we could go down to breakfast together. "Hi, you uh, didn't have to wait for me." I said, trying very hard not to blush, unsuccessfully. "I know, but I wanted to, plus, it would be good to have someone around, the bozos I call my friends forgot to get on the train. I'm surprised they made it past first year, honestly they were that dumb. They should be here by this afternoon, though. My father told me." he replied, blushing just enough to see it. His perfect skin is so pale that it's easy to tell.

We entered the great hall and sat down for breakfast. Briar is still avoiding me but it doesn't bother me at the moment, right now I'm just happy to be by Draco. Throughout the duration of breakfast I often found myself staring into those dreamy eyes of his.

"S-so, do you play Quidditch?" I asked. "You seemed to know a lot about it when you showed me the Quidditch pitch."

Draco beamed with pride. "Oh, yes. This year I'm playing Seeker."

"And what do Seekers do?" I asked, curiously.

He looked at me, a little confused, as if I should know already. "Seekers catch the golden snitch. Haven't you watched a Quidditch match before?"

"N-no..."

"Well, my first match is two days from now, do you want to come?" He asks.

"Ok, sure!" I said, excitedly.

Today I had defense against the dark arts before lunch and I was kind of excited for it. Although I knew I couldn't trust Harry I still thought that this class would be the best like he said. He had described it very passionately as though he wished he could teach this class. That's enough about stupid Harry though.

I entered the classroom and was not expecting what was inside. The teacher was a guy named Gilderoy Lockhart. The thing I wasn't expecting were the walls to be plastered with his face. Some of the pictures were just enlarged pictures of the book covers -he made us buy all of his books- others were framed newspaper cutouts, and some were just pictures of him.

He started class with an introduction, I could already tell he was full of himself. And then he made us take a quiz on "his books". The quiz seemed a lot more focused on him though.

As I was walking out of the classroom Briar came up to me and said, "Talk about that guy, he's so obsessed with himself." and then she rolled her eyes. "Y-Yah he was so annoying!" I said, a bit confused. "And what about that quiz on his books, I just got one about him!" she responded and then noticed my confused expression. "I forgive you, you can't stay mad at anyone FOREVER." she said consolingly. "Oh YAY!" I said and jumped up and down in the corridor. A couple of 6th or 7th years looked at me funny but I was too happy to notice. "Are you going to the quidditch match?" I asked her. "Oh no, probably not, I have lots of homework to do. It's ok though, quidditch isn't my FAVOURITE sport anyways." she answered. "Aww alright I was hoping you could come with me." I said sadly. "Well I mean I could come i-if you want." she said blushing slightly. "If you'd rather study, you could do that, it's fine." I said, trying not to sound so needy. "No! I'll come." she answered. I was happy she was going to come. We left it at that and entered our next class.

Draco's Quidditch match is against Gryffindor. Turns out Harry's the Gryffindoor Seeker, and Fred and George, the twins from the train, are the Gryfindoor Beaters. Anyways, I sit in the front seat in the stands with Briar , excited to watch my first match. The players fly out onto the field on brooms, and I spot Draco. He waves up at me, and I wave back, blushing profusely. I hope he didn't notice. The match started, and I saw Harry and Draco chasing a shiny, golden orb. I noticed a bludger (Draco told me about them) zooming towards Harry, but he dodged it. The bludger came zooming back to him, striking his broom. Harry's ballace wavered, but he regained it. Harry and Draco both reached for the snitch, but the bludger rebounded once more, striking Harry's arm as his fingers closed around the snitch. I saw Draco swear out of the corner of my eye, but my main focus was on Harry's plummeting body. He had fallen off his broom, onto the sandy ground.
