John had awoken early, and he had quietly gotten out of Simon's bed and made his way to the living room. He had put on shoes and glanced at the clock, it was 7:36am. He quickly realised he had left his car at work that night before, so he would have to walk. He grabbed his bag and left, not wanting to wake Simon.John arrived at the pub and got to work, doing what he always did when opening up. However, he couldn't help but feel a little sad that Simon wasn't there with him.
A few hours later, Simon arrived at the pub. John saw him come in and smiled. E walked up to him and asked him in his Scottish accent, "I don't mean to be rude at all, but why are you here?"
Simon smiled and replied, "is it a crime to see you Johnny?" John couldn't help but laugh nod shook his head. He said, "no, it's not a crime. I'm just wondering."
John made Simon a drink and asked him, "I like you, John. Sorry if it's too early for me to say that." John smiled and replied, "it's never too early, and to be honest I like you too. Whenever this happens I feel like I ask them too early and they run away."
Simon smiled and hugged him. He said, "you don't need to worry, Johnny. I'm here for you, and we can take our time." John felt a wave of relief wash over him, and he thanked Simon for understanding. He leaned in bed kissed him.
John and Simon spent the entire day at the pub, john serving drinks and Simon watching on awe. Whenever a customer left, they would have brief conversations, Simon loving every moment. As closing time came and went, Simon stayed behind, watching john lock up the pub, john suggested they go to his house and Simon agreed.
On the drive to john's house, Simon couldn't contain his excitement. John smiled, noticing the anticipation in Simon's eyes. When they finally arrived, john locked his car and the two of them started walking to Simon's house.
When they got there, simon was in the middle of watching TV. As soon as he saw John, he kept up from the couch and asked if he needed clothes. John smiled, nodding. Simon quickly went into the bedroom, returning with a pile of clothes. John chuckled, remarking that he probably wouldn't fit in them, but they both enjoyed the moment.
John and simon then made their way out to the garden, talking and laughing until late into the night. The sun had set and the stars were out, but the conversation between them was never-ending. They talked about everything, from their childhoods to their dreams for the future. As wound down, John thanked simon for the wonderful evening.
John had been working late hours at his job for the past few weeks, and it had been taking a toll on him. It was the first time in months that he had been able to come home early enough for dinner. He opened the door to the house he shared with simon, and saw Simon sitting on the couch reading a book.
John kicked off his shoes and walked over to Simon, laying down between his legs. Simon absentmindedly ran his fingers through john's Mohawk and asked, "You're home late, was it busy today?"
John nodded, feeling the tension in his body melt away as Simon's fingers worked their way through his hair. He closed his eyes and let himself drift into a state of relaxation.
"It was pretty hectic," he replied in a quiet voice. "But I'm glad to be home. I missed you."
Simon smiled and pressed a gentle kiss onto john's forehead. "I'm glad you're home too," he said. "Come on, let's get you something to eat."
