THAT'S MY REGRET

NAVIGATION OF DESTINY AND DOUBT

He managed to let her go and had his peace of mind again. He sat under the nim tree waiting for his parents to arrive. He waited till he could no more. He took his bag and began his journey to the dormitory. A car came to pass and he decided to check through and his heart sank in when he saw his parents wave him.

He quickly went to see his parents with his heart leaping for joy. Feeling like the children of Israel seeing Moses coming to their rescue. They came with smiles but Manuel came happily but weeping at the same time. Telling them the school is not conducive for him and he wish he would never write the wassce again. They tried speaking to him to encourage him and along the line they found out he has not been eating, for he reduced in weight.

He was given something to eat and his phone was given for him to go through. The messages he saw just broke him down and he does not know he will answer those messages. "Bro, where are you?", "Manuel, where have you gone to?" "Heyy Manuel..why have you been skipping church service."
Manuel replied them bit by bit even to the extent of lying to everyone he is in a computer school including his pastor.

After the visit his parents left and tears began to stream out of his eyes but he tried to be strong not to expose his weakness. He went and slept later that night with a heavy heart. He said to himself,"I guess it's time to face reality in reality itself. I've lied to everyone including my uncle and grandma I'm going to a computer school. Sigh! My lies would soon lead me to the danger line. Let me sleep now and forget my sorrows for a while. After all I'll wake up to sorrow once again." He slept with a song his

It was morning and it was Sunday. Everyone was getting ready for church service. He went and he did not see it as a spectacular church service comparing it to his home and his former school. A teacher named Sir Happy came to this unspectacular message and preached on an unusual message titled,"Don't be dismayed." The man continued with his message and at a point the message became profound.

He said,"Don't be discouraged. You might have failed an exam and you're back to rewrite again, that does not define you as a failure. God is preparing you for something greater that is why he has held you back. He might be protecting you from a danger ahead. Listen, if you want to make an arrow go very far you must pull it back." Manuel felt it was God speaking to him and he gave a heavy sigh.

After church he went back to the dormitory with some group of boys just listening to them and pondering on the message being preached. He went to the dormitory and went to lay down to listen to the music Michael usually plays. At least that was the only thing that sooth his soul and makes his emotions stable.

Later in the day he went off to go and study and trying his best for his zeal for studies not to die. After his studies he went back to the dormitory and Magdalena saw him and parted her arms widely to give Manuel a hug. Manuel sighed for the Magdalena has been troubling him. But she gave her the hug and asked each other how they were doing. After they parted ways and Manuel entered his dormitory.

The senior house master Mr. Tenkorang saw Manuel and asked him if he has eaten. Manuel replied no for an answer and this made Mr. Tenkorang worried. Manuel realised this statement has made Mr. Tenkorang worried and he made a lame excuse of having much to study, thus made him to forget to eat. Mr. Tenkorang cautioned him not to make that mistake ever again and Manuel accepted it with all due respect.

It was Monday and Manuel woke up again with a heavy heart and it was as if time has taken the pace of a snail. He went to the classroom and the school bursar located him and decided to have a little chat with him. The bursar said to him,"Your mum called me and told me you're not comfortable with this school in comparison to your former school. I want to let you know that it is not the size of the school but it is the capacity and the capability of the teachers to be able to deliver. And most importantly, choose a God fearing friend. That's the most important of all."

After the conversation he felt he needed a God fearing friend. He decided to choose a girl rather so he would feel better at least in his period of stay in the school. He decided to scan through and found the girl he will like to talk to but he decided to wait for a while.

Later that afternoon it was time for English class and a tall handsome man having the resemblance of the apostles of old in the bible entered the class. He introduced himself as Sir Jeremy and he tried to get to know their names. In the process of getting to know their names he entered into the realms of prophecy. Giving accurate prophecies to some people in the class. Almost everyone got scared and tried hiding from him. Manuel on the other hand was just observing and desired to receive a word of prophecy, but not in the midst of people.

After all was said and done, a Muslim girl named Aisha told Manuel the teacher is gazing at him and when he lifted up his head his heart skipped with fear. Sir Jeremy asked of his name and he mentioned. He asked him of the course Manuel is doing only for Manuel to mention the university course he aspires to do. Everyone including the teacher burst into laughter. Manuel then realised it was the course he is doing in the current school.

Sir Jeremy said, "I saw in the realms of the spirit that you'll divert to science. And amongst your siblings you set the higher pace. You'll become rich in the future but you have to give your heart to God first. And when you become rich don't forget your siblings. Also God wanted to take your dad to his bosom but because you're not ready for that responsibility he's still alive."

Manuel thought of it and his spirit broke down. A Jamaican girl named Trinika who was his sitting partner asked him if everything was alright and he replied with a yes, but not with a strong assurance.

It was closing for the school and everyone began to disperse out of the school premises. One of the guys nicknamed 'Big Joe' wondered and discussed with his colleagues about Manuel becoming rich in the future. Manuel realised what was going on and he quickly had to leave the premises before the attention seekers find him.

He went for preps later that evening after eating and tragically he could not concentrate on his studies. The prophecy from Sir Jeremy was eating him up, especially the one about his dad. He closed the book, laid down his head and began to ask questions.
