THAT'S MY REGRET

CONFLICTED FEELINGS AND TEMPTATION

The exams for social studies began and Manuel with all surety had the confidence to write the exam. Zoey on the other hand surprisingly fell asleep in the exam hall. Manuel was somehow astonished but he felt at the end of it all she will get the answers to the questions.

After an hour and thirty minutes passed and she finally woke up. She realised she was asleep all along and she was left with an hour more to finish the paper. She got up and went to the washroom. On her way back to the exam hall she met Dj flow, she requested for the answers to the questions. He took a piece of paper from his pocket and gave to her to smuggle it into the hall.

She managed to smuggle the answers to the examination hall. With little time left she quickly wrote the answers given to her. When she was done she turned she gave the paper to Manuel to write the answers in his answer booklets. Manuel was scared but he took the paper whiles shivering and Zoey gave him the pressure to be quick about it. He corrected some of his mistakes and gave it to another person.

After the paper he went on to thank Zoey for helping him out in the exam hall. He went out and said to himself, "I can't believe I judged this girl all these times. Little did I know she is the one going to help me this day in the exam hall. I think I gave a wrong judgement."

Nick came to Manuel and asked how the paper went. All Manuel could say he gave a wrong judgement about Zoey. Thus, he told Nick everything that went on in the exam hall and that put him in an awe for a long period of time. Nick said, "Is it only me or the people who do not seem to be God-fearing have the character of God in them. Like, Annette helping you out and encouraging you. Zoey also helping you even though she loves to cheat."

Manuel replied, "Yeah bro! You're so damn right! And the people who appear to be God-fearing rather have the genes of the devil. Look at Sir Eben, he acted like an intercessor and gave up on me when I needed him the most. Michelle decided to use me for her own benefit but always sang in church and acted holier than everyone. Sigh!"

Nick asked if Michelle has replied the message he sent to her two days ago. Manuel said, "She hasn't replied me for the past two days. To make it worse she gave me a bluetick..." Manuel's phone rang and it was Michelle who called. Manuel did not pick the call for the first time. She called again and he did not pick until the third time.

Manuel: Hello
Michelle: Hello Manny, how are you?
Manuel: I'm good and you?
Michelle: I'm not that good
Manuel: What's wrong?
Michelle: I'm hungry, I do not have money. I want you to get noodles for me. Please.
Manuel: Noodles? At this time? Michelle, I do not have enough at the moment. When I get some I'll help you out.
Michelle: When are you going to get the money to help me out? I need it right now. I've got stomach ulcer, if I don't eat my condition will worsen.
(Manuel was moved with compassion, and even though he has been through hell with her, he did not like to see her suffer)
Manuel: Michy, hold on I'm coming okay. Don't move.

Nick asked Manuel what was happening and Manuel could not explain to him everything and left Nick. Nick said to himself, "I hope he's doing the right thing." Manuel got to where Michelle was but he could not find her. He called in a haste and asked her where she was when she picked the call.

She sounded as someone who was in serious pain. She directed him to the classroom block and surprisingly it was the middle of the night. He went to the classroom block and heard Michelle calling him. He found her in the classroom and wondered why she never turned on the light. He was about to turn on the lights but Michelle stopped him, claiming if someone saw the two of them they will get into trouble.

Manuel asked if she was alright and she replied, "Yes, I'm alright. Thanks for coming." She went on to hug Manuel deeply than normal for a long period of time. Manuel was turned on and he became hard. Michelle giggled and said seductively, "You're hard...Caress my melons and my back. Smooch me if you can." At this point Manuel just did what she requested for and did not hesitate.

Manuel was inexperienced at doing this because it was his first time. Thus, due to his inexperience and fear his heart began to race as quick as it can. Michelle heard his heart beat and he breathing heavily. She refrain from him and said, "Manny! Why are you breathing so heavily? You're just holding me and you're breathing heavily. You're not a man, you're a boy. A boy! Sigh! I'll give you another chance. Hold me, caress my back."

Out of embarrassment and to prove he can do it to be a man. He went on to caress her back and that still did not satisfy her. She said, "What? Is that all you can do? You know...just leave my sight. I can't have a man or 'a boy' to have my body." She pushed Manuel and went her way, but Manuel held her hand to stop her. Michelle requested for Manuel to let her go but he refused. Manuel said, "After all I did for you, is that how you repay me? After all the help I offered? After all the..."

Michelle replied, "All the what? You did nothing. What you did was a quarter drop of water. You're not a man, you're a stingy person. You never satisfied me with anything." Manuel reminded her about her birthday and Michelle said, "You call that a birthday gift? Those things are just snacks we eat for brunch. That's nothing compared to what other men have to offer. Women are not supposed to suffer. You made me to suffer."

Manuel did not understand what she meant by saying he made her suffer. He began to list for her the things he did for her. She replied by telling him he is immature. Manuel anger rose and said, "You called me immature? You said I didn't do anything for you and I'm telling you what I did. This is not childish...this is logic. I can't believe I gave you my love."

Michelle replied, "Well...I didn't send you to fall in love with me. Moreover I never did love you. I never loved you and never thought of you. Leave me and let me go." She left and chuckled. Manuel said to her, "Michy, you know something. When you're not faithful with little you won't be faithful with much. And note that, you never value good people until you lose them."

She left his presence looking so angry. Manuel hated himself so much for allowing his fleshly desires to overtake him to do what Michelle requested from him. In tears he sat down asking God to forgive him of his iniquity and strengthen him to overcome the lust of the flesh.
