I Don't Like You

I Would Never Beg You For Anything

You walk to the room where the others are sorting the food on the table. You notice that Yoongi is already there. You pause in the doorway, but Tae and Jimin move you forward.

Jimin says, "It's okay. He won't bite unless you want him to." he playfully smirks.

Tae laughs, and you swat at Jimin. You three are laughing as you approach the table. You whisper to Jimin and Tae, "Sit by me."

They roll their eyes and sit on the opposite side of the table from Yoongi, Jimin, on your right and Tae on your left.

Jin comes in, sits in the empty chair next to Yoongi, and watches him put food on his plate.

"Watch how much you eat, Yoongs. Someone thinks you're getting fat," he says, followed by his windshield-wiper laugh.

No one else is laughing, though. Yoongi glances over at you, frowning, causing you to blush, and then he returns to eating his food.

Jimin goes to feed you a perilla leaf with your favorite meat wrapped in it when Jungkook gasps out loud. You both start to giggle with Jungkook.

Yoongi says, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Jimin. It means you want to marry her."

He gives you a cutting look and murmurs, "I know I wouldn't want to be stuck with her."

Your head snaps up as you look at Yoongi, vexed, and snark back, "I wouldn't let you peel me a Perilla leaf even if you begged."

He retorts, "I would never beg you for anything!" 

You are glaring at him, and he looks your body over, then scathingly says, "You have nothing I would lower myself to beg for!"

That hurt, but you stand angry, and he stands, too. Looking for anything to come back at him, you spout off the first thing that comes to mind: "By the way, you have put weight on!"

He retorts, "It wouldn't hurt you to skip a lunch or two. Maybe you would have a boyfriend by now. That way, you could spew your vitriol on him and leave me the hell alone!"

Everyone's head swivels back and forth between the two of you like they are watching a tennis match.

You start to say more when Jimin smiles, trying to break the tension, saying, "I like curvy girls."

Jungkook says, "I love my girl to be soft and curvy in all the right spots." He makes the figure of a curvy woman with his hands.

Everyone laughs at them, but their laughter quickly disappears when they see the glares between you and Yoongi.

You snap back, "I don't like you, Min Yoongi!" You say it out loud, but you know it's not true.

He shoots back loudly, "Well, I don't like you more!"

You and Yoongi are at a standoff, glaring daggers at each other. You are holding the hurt inside at what he said about you having nothing worth begging for. That was a painful blow, but you won't break eye contact first. You refuse to let him see how much he hurt you.

He drops his chopsticks, yelling, "I've had enough of you!"

He looks at Taehyung and, seething, he says, "Dongsaeng, stop bringing strays to work with you."

Their jaws drop at the insult he just made to you as he storms out of the room.

You drop to your seat, and suddenly, tears form in your eyes. Tae stands, pulls you up from your chair, and holds you.

"He didn't mean what he said. Please don't cry." he tenderly tries to console you. He knows what Yoongi said hurt. 

"I'm so, so sorry," you cry, burying your face into Tae's sweater, hoping to hide not only your tears but also your red face of embarrassment.

They gather around you and hear your muffled words, "Why, why do I always lose it around him?"

"I think you both do it because you have feelings for each other," Jin says as he rests his hand on your shoulder.

You start to shake your head when Hobi says, "You two are fighting what your heart wants. I don't know why because I think you two are perfect for each other."

You shake your head plaintively, saying, "Guys, you're wrong. We don't have feelings for each other except maybe disdain. I don't know why he drives me so crazy."

Namjoon says, "He is fighting his feelings for you as much as you are fighting yours for him."

Tae looks at you, takes your hand in his, and explains, "The thing about Yoongi-Hyung is that he doesn't think he deserves love."

You are surprised at that saying, "What? That is crazy." 

Jimin says, "You two need to talk with each other. Not just shoot barbs and insults, but actually talk."

Tae agrees, "I think that is a good idea."

"Guys, I just want to go to my room for a bit," you tell them, knowing you aren't done crying and just want to be alone. You sadly turn from them and go.

They watch you leave, knowing they hate when you cry and can't help. After you go, they sit around the table, trying to finish eating.

Finishing his last bite, Hobi says, "Can't these two admit they're in love already?"

Still startled by their outburst, Namjoon replies, "You call that love?"

Out of the blue, Jungkook suddenly says, "I have a plan," and he smiles his evil bunny smile at them as he rubs his hands together.
