He is not surprised you feel this way. You had a lot of similar things happen in life.

"Nothing of value? I can tell you what I see when you walk," he says to you in a gentle voice.

Shy and afraid of what he might say, you lower your eyes softly, asking, "What do you see?"

"You walk as if you have to keep a shield around you. Some days, you walk with vulnerability, and other days, I see you walk with confidence and just a little swag," he says, lifting your face to look at him.

He tells you, "As I said earlier, I don't hate you, Lia."

"I don't hate you either. I know I have said some things that may have hurt you, but in my heart, I didn't mean any of it," you openly admit this to him.

He moves to the seat closest to you, taking hold of your hand and caressing the top with his thumb. He confesses, "To tell you the truth, I like you."

"You, you are serious? You like me?" You are having a hard time believing it, thinking he is pranking you.

He smiles and says with sincerity, "Yes, I like you. I actually like you a lot. I've just never been good with showing or sharing my feelings. It's easier just to be gruff and thus protect my heart from getting hurt again."

He moves the box lunch on your lap back into the hamper with his. Then he sits back down beside you, turned so he is facing you.

"Lia, the others have seen what we refused to see."

A little confused, you slightly frown, wondering what he meant, and ask, " What do they see?" but you think you know as Tae and Jimin have hinted at it.

He answers, "They have told me time and again how we both refuse to see what is right in front of us. That we are fighting our hearts and that we should just let go and fall in love . . . their words, not mine."

You sadly say, "I wish that last part were your words."

He looks a little surprised and asks, "You mean we should just let go?"

You shake your head, saying, "No, no, that we should fall in love."

He looks at you, his eyes filled with mirth, and asks, "You mean with each other?" You nod, grinning back.

He caresses your face as he leans close and softly says, "I think we already have." Then he kisses you.

The others are not far away, and with the silhouette caused by the sun, they can tell you two kissed. They high-fived each other, cheering.

Jungkook, smiling proudly, boasts, "I knew it would work."

They start to pat him on the shoulders when the driver comes over.

"So will you fix it so the doors will open again?" he asks hopefully.

They laugh, and J Hope pats the driver's shoulder, stating confidently, "Sure. No problem. Jungkook just tweaked the child door safety feature, which is an easy fix."

He looks at Jungkook and asks for confirmation, "Right Maknae?"

They all turn to look at Jungkook, "Right Kooki?" he asks again.

Jungkook looks up at J Hope as he pulls his cell phone out of his pocket he replies "Oh um yeah, easy fix." he calls a locksmith to unlock the doors.
